Can a 12yr old and 8yr old ride together and the parent in front or behind them? I wasn't sure about rules of 2 kids riding together. TIA!

Yes. They'll put someone from the single rider line with the parent. Did this with DD10 and DS8 a couple weeks ago.

Yes, they can. Our 8-year-old daughter actually rode alone (well, with a stranger) one year when I was too sick to ride with her.

In 2010, I rode with a Dad who's two younger kids were in front. I will never forget it since we were sitting at the starting point waiting to be "shot" off, and the Dad looked at me and said "Uhh, is it dark for the whole thing?" lol

Yes, since they are both 7+, they can ride together.

For most rides...
  • Under 7 = requires someone age 14 or older to ride with them
  • 7-13 = allowed to ride alone or with anyone else 7+ but not allowed to ride as the 2nd rider for someone 6 and under
