Rockin' around Cinderella's Castle: Two Holiday PTRs in One!

Hello All! Some of you I probably know, some may be new, whoever you are, welcome to my two for one special... two holiday PTRs in ONE!!!

The dirty details:

Trip 1: November 13-17, Coronado Springs Resort. With Jon (DBF) and his parents. Sharing a room with his parents. You'll want in on this one, trust me..the stories will be priceless.

Trip 2: December 14-18, Beach Club. With Mom, my friend Sasha and (possibly) my aunt.

Stay tuned..I am now on my way to Borders to get the Unofficial Guide 2010 (holy crap..it's so weird to write 2010..)... next up on my PTR will be the usual, introductions, how the trips came to be, etc etc....thanks for stopping by!

Well..I guess I'll start with the intros..those from my PTR/TR know me, but we'll just start from scratch!

I'm Becky, 24. I've been going to Disney ever since I was 5 years old, this will be trip numbers 10 and 11 for me. My most recent trip was July 25-August 2, at Animal Kingdom lodge with DBF (Jon). We had a blast! I'm a full time student at the University of New Haven, I nanny full time for a currently 5 month old boy, and will be doing an internship one day a week at a local human services agency. In my spare time, I like to plan and collect all things pink (my obsession in life...pink..if it comes in pink, i'll take it!)

DBF (Jon): Jon is 24 also. He works full time at UCONN, and is taking classes to complete his MBA. He had only been to disney twice before, never stayed on property, and well I don't like to brag, but I think I've started to turn him into a little bit of a Disney addict. In his spare time (which is very little), he likes to spend time with me and to watch movies!

Here's some of our other family members. Jon and I don't live together yet, but we love our animals like they are family:

Moose, 2. Loves staring at the wall, sitting in the sink, and playing with the water in the toilet. Oh, and eating...all the time. He has the brain of a walnut but a big heart

Stella, 2. Loves sleeping on/with/next to me, grooming moose, tracking bugs and looking out the windows. Pretty sharp, but a huge *****..she only loves me.. Don't mind the picture..she doesn't do well having her picture taken..

Khan, 3-4 (we're unsure of his age). Loves having his belly rubbed, sitting on Jon and sleeping on my head. Lives with Jon.

Jon also has a ton of fish tanks and 2 ferrets. I live with my parents, they have a dog (bella), who is a hurricane katrina rescue dog, and a fluffy calico cat (Amber) who is the princess of the house.

Ohhhh now you look familar.... I've been reading your previous TR... Your kitties are adorble.. Wish I could have one but I'm extremely allergic. My little girl begs me all the time, but alas it just can't happen.

You're very lucky you get to travel to Disney so often.

I'll start with Trip 1:

TRIP 1: the trip with Jon's parents.

J, Jon's mom: hyper, crazy, loud, obsessive and paranoid. No, really. She's excited to go to Disney world with us.

T, Jon's stepdad: he's a bit older, so he tends to get tired easily. He's a nice guy who is looking forward to some relaxation!

How it came to be...

Those of you who read my TR know this story, but I'll tell it again. One day, I was just sitting around, and I thought to myself..I wonder what the pricing would be with free dining..hmm.. See, Jon had really wanted to go back to Disney...and his parents had mentioned wanting to go also. They were thinking April though, which would be about the time I graduate from college...so it wouldn't work out well! So i looked up some dates for November, and found an awesome deal, 460 per person for the room, food and tickets. Not bad! We would have to share a room of course (if you knew his mother, you would understand)... but we are willing to try it out. I wanted to go the weekend before thanksgiving, but then I looked at airfare, and it was wayyy too expensive. So, I did the "my dates are flexiable" box, and searched the best fares...and i found November 13-17 for 200$! That's a great rate! So I told all this to Jon, who agreed...and told his mom. After his mom asked 4000 questions, she agreed..and that was that! We decided on Coronado Springs, since they have Queen Sized beds, plus I have a little goal to stay at every resort in Disney..so that would add on to the list!

So my trip to Borders was unsuccessful...no 2010 guide..today I found it at a local, independent bookstore though, so that was awesome! I am off to read it right after this post.. I'll be back later with thoughts/comments etc
