After the haircut, we hit a few more rides, and it was just about time for our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern. The Christmas decorations were very pretty, the food was excellent and DS loved his first big encounter with a lot of characters. A side note about how wonderful the CM's can be. I was having trouble with my camera and was just about devastated that at our first character ADR on our first day just before
MVMCP I was not going to be able to take pictures. The CM serving us must have seen how upset I was, b/c she kept offering to help in any way she could. She charged our video camera for us at the wait station so we'd have that, she made sure we knew we could stay a little longer since we'd missed our first opportunity for pictures with a few characters, and then, even after we'd figured out we probably had a bad batch of batteries (I will NEVER buy Rayovac again no matter how low the price) she still came back and GAVE us a disposable camera so we would be sure we wouldn't miss any special memories. I actually started to cry a little b/c it was so sweet. (I made sure I waited to talk to the manager and tell her how special our CM made our dinner.)
As we left LTT, we caught some of Wishes and it was pretty neat walking right out into them. Not a bad place for viewing either. You don't see everything, but its also not as crowded.
Then, we made our way to the front of the park and got our wristbands for MVMCP. I was SO excited! I've always wanted to see Christmas at the parks. We rode a bunch of rides w/ the shorter lines. (Mostly DS's speed... Pooh, Small World, Peter Pan.) And got a few good photo ops. We decided to try HM with DS, and told him he could just cover his eyes if he didn't like anything. He did this a few times, then buried his face in my lap. After a few seconds of reassuring him it was just pretend, I realized he was ASLEEP!

We carried him off the ride and put him in his stroller and enjoyed a nice leisurely walk around the park sipping hot chocolate and eating cookies and letting DS rest. He slept straight through the second "Christmas" version of Wishes. (I couldn't believe it, it was so loud!)
Then, we woke him up to see the Holiday parade. He was enthralled, and so was I.
We were going to head home, but noticed the crowds were moving out fast and heavy, so we asked DS if he would like to do one more ride. We headed back to Aladdin's Carpets, and guess who was on the ride in the car in front of us. Aladdin and Jasmine!!! We weren't able to ride with them, but it was still cool. And, Aladdin was so nice. As we got off, DH asked if DS could get a picture, but Aladdin and Jasmine were being pretty sternly directed that they had to go. Aladdin said sorry and started to walk off, then turned on his heel, ran back and gave DS a high five. He obviously couldn't stay for a pic, but closed out DSs night (and ours) on a real high note.
As I said, a magical day all around. We really felt blessed to have had so many fantastic things happen and to have had such a great beginning to our vacation.
