They are in the Magic Kingdom for the 24 Hour Party where costumes are allowed. The OP was asking what happens if they want to leave MK and say go to EPCOT - must they change? I took mesaboy2's response to mean if they HOP they will need to change their clothes. I would agree on that as well. If I were clearly in costume I would not hop.

thats exactly what i was asking, driving up from tampa this evening for late night activities the women in the group want to dress as a little bit for the mk party but we were also talking about taking a break at epcot i was just wondering if we needed to change outfits thats all
I was pretty surprised to discover plenty of people in costume (including as some Disney characters) in Epcot for Halloween a couple years back. I was always under the impression that Halloween costumes were only allowed in MK, and only during MNSSHP (or the dearly departed Pirate & Princess). Maybe I missed the memo, or maybe they just weren't bothering on the 31st itself.
