Is there a chicken exit at Rock 'n' Rollercoaster? The reason I'm asking is because my husband can't ride it because of deteriorating discs in his neck and my daughter would like him to see a door that she would like to recreate for her room. The door in question is before you walk into the mock studio in a room where all the records are on the wall. The door has marbles in it that spin in place. Does anyone recognize this door from my description? If so, how do you think it was constructed? Thanks for any input.

There is an exit door right when you turn onto the loading platform, where they ask you how many people.

I was almost talked into going but luckily my son changed his mind at the last minute so we took the chicken exit. Glad I went though because the preshow was neat. There is also a mini version of the limo seat outside the chicken exit. Got a great pic of my son pretending to be on it!

The famous beaded door! My 13 year old LOVED that thing. It looked to me like the door was made of a metal grid that held the beads. If he can figure out how to make one, let me know!

BTW, that door is fairly close to where you enter the building at RnR. He could look at the door, then turn around and head back out the entrance. He'd have to snake through the queue a bit if the line is long but he shouldn't have any problem getting back out without going all the way to the chicken door.

It would also be neat for him to see the cars taking off. I know you can turn around from that point because the family in front of us was insiting that their scared, crying son was going on until a CM made one of them take him out the chicken exit.

Thanks for all your replies. I never go on R&R due to severe motion sickness. But now that I know that there is a chicken exit maybe I'll go so I can see the pre-show and also it won't seem like such a long wait for DD to return to the gift shop. DD has been trying to explain the door to her Dad for 2 years. He's quite handy and a machinist by trade so he may be able to figure it out. He says he'll have to see it. We keep saying we'll go anytime, but he isn't biting. Yet.

I love that door too - but just be aware that it's irresistable as far as rolling your hand over it and it's very noisy!!

I absolutely love this roller coaster!! There is no reason that anyone should have to take the chicken exit, once you get past the very FAST start, the ride is smooth, yet thrilling... and you will become ADDICTED! I only started riding roller coasters in my 40's.... (sheesh I know that is old) to keep up with my kids (DD 23 and DS 21) now I wouldn't go back and wish I wasn't a chicken all those years!!! We have the best fun and how many kids can say their OLD mom goes on every ride....soon they will be married and on their on, but we will always have these memories.... GO FOR IT!!! :D

Love this ride as well, my hands down fav. Here is a photo I took with my digi cam for you yesterday. Hope it helps.

DH thinks they laid out the door, put a ridge around it and filled it with marbles then put a sheet of metal over it with square holes just large enough for the marbles to move around but still hold them in over it.
