I really can't decide if I should try it out this time, I love both Expedition Everest and Space Mountain but I've never been on any rides bigger so I don't know if it'll be too extreme or not. The thought of the initial launch is daunting but I just can't decide, what are everyone's opinions of the ride?

I was all but frog-marched onto it in October. The launch is the most intense part of the ride. I screamed until I couldn't scream any more! If you do decide to ride, make sure you keep your head back. You do get rattled around pretty good. And if you are not enjoying it, remember it is over pretty quickly. :P

I just went and looked on youtube, and the actual ride portion is only 70 seconds long. If that helps you decide at all. I'm still trying to decide if I want to go on again.:)

If you like the others then go for it! You won't know until you try it for yourself. Like PP said, it's a very quick ride so it will be over before you know it! I also agree that you should keep your head back at the start...it definitely helps! :crazy2:
Have fun!

If you like Expedition Everest and Space Mountain, you'll be fine! Rock N Roller Coaster is awesome :-)

Do you like Aerosmith?

On a scale of 1-10 compared to other launching, looping coasters, RnR is about a 4 for intensity.

One of my favorites I just wish it was longer. Honestly after the first 5 seconds the ride is almost too tame. I would be willing to bet you enjoy it just keep your head back and scream at the launch.

It's not an intense ride at all. It is very, very short and certainly isn't a thrill ride in my book. I found Space Mountain much more thrilling. Both are fun, but Rock'n is overhyped in terms of it being a thrill ride. It's pretty to look at while you're riding it. :)

I have ridden Rock n Roller Coaster in the past but now I am older and I can no longer take the launch at the beginning. So, regrettably, never again.

Now different people may find different parts of the ride to be too much for them.

If you are not at least 5' 4" or so the shoulder harness smashes into your ears on the loops. Ow! Keep your head pressed firmly against the headrest during the loops if you can. I love coasters, but hate this one because I'm 5' 0" and the ear boxing is really painful for me.

You got to try it once though! It might turn out to be your favorite ride and you just don't know it yet!

The closer to the front you sit, the less head banging against the restraint. And I agree - if you like EE and Space, you'll probably like RnR.

Aw man, I'm 5'0 also :worried:
Will probably still try it but that definitely isn't ideal

Go for it ! To me Space Mountain and Everest are more extreme. You will love it, it is so much fun you will be riding it again and again if the wait isnt to long:rotfl: It is one of my favorite rides . I love the launch at the start it is the best part. I'm 54 and 5'3" and I have never had any problems with head banging or thinking it is to extreme.

That's good to hear, hope you're right! :teeth:

From my perspective, any ride that posts a 2 hr wait for 70 seconds is not remotely worth it. The one and only time I rode it was at rope drop and that's the only way I would ever consider going on it again. Basic thrill factor 2 out of 5.

FP and single-rider are other options with relatively short waits.

This is one of my favorites. The launch, and even the anticipation of the launch, is so much fun. After that it's fairly smooth sailing (I'm 5'3," for reference). I've ridden it multiple times in a row and I'm fairly susceptible to headaches.
