Rock 'n Roller Coaster may not be featuring Aerosmith

I will take LA for $1000, Alex. I wonder if that is near Hollywood?

For country I will take Nashville.

For Blues I will take KC and Memphis.

Don't forget Motown!!!

I'm telling you...USE THE MUPPETS!

They are pushing them back into the public eye already with the YouTube channel "Muppet Studios", why not place Mr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem as the band!

The themeing would be perfect for the indoor rollercoaster and no more contracts since they OWN the rights to the Muppets.

USE the assets you bought from Henson's company Disney! Use them!

Ohhh I like that idea!! :woohoo:

disney will look at in house brands....like Hanah Montana and Jonas Bros...c'mon...With disney it is all about the money

I love the ride as is....

If they had to retheme I would want another established band like U2

I do love the muppets and would be cool with them.

Music industry goes hand in hand with Hollywood.... I think most people would agree with that... Heck one of the parking lots is "Music".

If Hannah or Jonas or any other flash in the pan pop star/ disney channel original takes over the ride I will projectile vomit.

My vote is for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They are from Hollywood and they have a great song for the soundtrack... cover of Love Roller Coaster.

It could happen, since they were already at DL's Space Mountain for a short period of time

if they wanted to keep it to an in house franchise, they could easily retheme it to fantasia. then again, would probably be fantasia/fantasmic overkill in one park.

personally i think retheming it to Meet the Robinsons would be a good choice. i wish they would incorporate that movie into at least one of the parks.

hrm I think it would be more then re -theming essentially you would strip the ride down only to the coaster and redesign everything else its not like you could just change one sign its a lot of Boston stuff in there down to the donuts which represents dunkin donuts

hence the term, re-theming. whatever it gets changed to, assuming it does change, the donuts and street signs, etc. would probably go. all the ride is is an indoor coaster with props. changing the props would be easy IMHO.

I would so go with Metallica as a possible replacement! I can just imagine doing that initial 360 with 'fuel' ringing in my ears! :goodvibes
Van Halen, Queen, Guns 'n' roses, Bruce Springsteen or (although least likely) The Beatles would all be awesome replacements if required!

The entire rest of the ride is designed as a recording studio, and that massive guitar outside, so it would have to be some kind of rock/pop theme or they'd have to change a LOT of stuff.

I personally think the Beatles would be great, why not have the greatest band in history.

U2 would also be good, but we all have our different opinions on it.

The donut sign is for Randy's Donuts in LA, not Dunkies.

I think Michael Jackson would be appropriate.

It would never happen since the lead singer is deceased but Boston would be awesome for this ride. They could use the song "Cool the Engines" from the Third Stage album. The lyrics would fit perfect.

Now I like takin' off
Don't like burnin' out
Every time you turn it on
Makes me want to shout
We keep getting hotter
Movin' way too fast
If we don't slow this fire down
We're not gonna last

Cool the engines
Red line's gettin' near
Cool the engines
Better take it out of gear

I'm no fool
I'm gonna keep it cool
and take it day by day
We won't know where we might go
'Till we take it all the way

Take me for a ride
Take me all the way
Take me where I've never been
Someplace I can stay
Don't get yourself too hot
Don't get yourself too high
If we don't take it easy now
We can kiss it all goodbye

Cool the engines
Slow this rocket down
Cool the engines
Why don't ya take a look around

I'm no fool, gonna keep it cool
Take it day by day
We won't know where we might go
'Till we take it all the way

Cool the engines
Cool the engines
Goin' over the line
Goin' off the dial
Runnin' out of time
And it's gettin' wild

Got flashin' lights
Goin' 'round and 'round
Until we get it right
Better cool it down
Better cool it down.

Cool the engines.

And now we're on our way
No need to hurry just to get from day to day
And I, oooh, I know
We don't have to run that hard to get where we can go.

Cool the engines.

Cool the engines down.

Cool the engines.

Cool the engines down.

Bon Jovi

Listen, Jon Bon Jovi has to be a Disney fan to some degree -- the last time I stayed at Disney's Vero Beach resort he and his family were guests as well.

And, yes, let me answer your questions before you ask, I do have a photo of him in the pool. Shirtless, natch.

I love how news and rumors turn into guessing and opinions...
My own two cents worth on the whole RnRC fitting into the themeing of HS: I believe MGM was originally devoted to mostly movies as a competor to Universal, thinking more loosely as Hollywood studios the music industry does fit, the Grammy's are currently held in LA (although previously in NY and Nashville) and hollywood is more loosely "entertainment". I would advocate for a more movie and televison themeing of HS but I am smart enough to know it is more about brand than theme... my guess is that a Jonas theme would be in Disney's greater intrest, plus Jonas would be more "hollywood" for manys liking... although I in no shape or form advocate for Jonas... to further take this from actual news/rumors I would say that the rollercoaster could possibly be rethemed to not have to do with music at all, I would say make it fit better in with the sunset blvd era and backdrop... idk what ill leave that to the imaginears and speculators on the DIS...
