Rock 'n' Roller Coaster--Fact or Rumor?

I agree with everyone.. i wish they would keep it the way it is, im a huge Aerosmith fan, they're my favorite band...BUTTT..just for fun, ill put in my two cents. I liked with the Motley Crue idea, but i also have to give props to the DISer who replied with "i dont want to explain Dr. Feelgood to my kids"...you have to keep it in DISNEY some way lol..so if Crue was out.... what about a good, clean rock n' roll band like Bon Jovi??? but ill tell you what would be REALLY awesome, if the original Guns n' Roses reunited and they remade the ride with them in it..how awesome would it be doin' loops to "Welcome to the Jungle"?

I would freak out if this was true. Its "Rock 'n' Roller coaster". The Jonas Brothers are not rock...they are garbage.

I could really care less what the theme of the ride happens to be. I use the single rider line and miss all the pre-show. As for the music, it would be an awesome ride even if they played the "1812 Overture".

I love GnR. They were by far my favorite 80s/90s band. (don't tell DH I would follow Slash to the end of the earth:love:). BUT...I think the chance of them getting back together well...I think we have a better chance of seeing Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison open for Elvis befor ethat will happen. Too bad though they were by far one of the greatest bands, as far as pure talent, of all time.

Unfortunately i would have to agree... especially after the recent comments Axl has came out and said about Slash and "the original lineup being dead and buried"...its a shame..such pure talent and energy... i guess i was just wishful thinking

How about Rock n Roller Coaster starring Ozzy Osbourne?? Crazy Train, anyone?

Maybe the Disney people are looking over at the new coaster going in at Universal where people can choose what music to listen to during the ride.they can choose from rap, classic rock, pop, country and club music.I mean I love it how it is now with Aerosmith and these rumors about them turning it into a Jonas brothers coaster are stressing me out,but if they did something where you chose what you listen to and you had a few hundred choices so every ride can be different I might enjoy it and want more rides on it.

With the way pre-teens have embraced "classic rock" thanks to Rock Band and Guitar Hero, I think that Aerosmith will stay relevant for a long time. :cool2:

In total agreement!! I have a "tween" (12 DS) and a teen (15 DD)...they LOVE Aerosmith and RnRC is a good part of the reason they are so familiar with them. It's in the bands best interest marketing wise to give disney a break on royalties in order to keep "re-introducing" themselves to future generations. My kids are MORTIFIED with the thought of it going Hanna Montanna/Jonas Bros. What is the "World" coming to??;)

Think about it. Does WDW ever advertise ride closures way ahead of time let alone reveal the changes. Someone is being affected by the heat . . . . . . . . .

I love Aerosmith and hope it sticks...but if not Metallica is cool or Queensryche.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Overall all I have to say is the ride better be rockin and rollin from Nov 27 to December 13th or i'll be ticked.:worship::worship::worship:

I found several posts on other forums and websites. Maybe it is true.

Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster name change
A friend of mine is a cast member and he works the Rockin Roller coaster at Hollywood Studios. He heard that once the contract with Aerosmith is over they are not renewing it and want to change the name of the coaster. They want it to be Disney branded with a Disney movie or star. The rumor is Hannah Montana is to replace Aerosmith as the star of the ride. I can see it now the "Hannah Montana Sparkle Express". LOL. Don't be suprised if Aerosmith no longer at some point will be associated with this ride.
