Rock 'n' Roller Coaster--Fact or Rumor?

i won't even let my DD10 watch the Jonas Brothers show when I am in the same room! Bad acting at its best. also I get that "paranoid" song stuck in my head all day..................

My duaghter LOVES the JoBros- I won't (no matter how tempting it may be) mention this to her. She would find this thread and be in tears (literally) over how mean people are being to the Jonas Brothers ( you are not mean- she would be hurt though). Funny enough she can't stand Hannah Montana- because she dated a Jonas probably.
I agree- bad move - no JoBros- and Aerosmith is regaining popularity since the Guitar Hero game so who knows.

dont get me wrong .. i <3 aerosmith ... but id be down for it to be jonas brothers/ hannah montana themed. the jonas brothers new album is getting really great reviews ... theyve grown alot in their songwriting.

:lmao: :scared1:

Your kidding right, the words music and Jonas sisters do NOT BELONG in the same sentence!! :sad2: ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao::lmao:

I would be more than OK with a retheme, but Not Jonas or Miley. YUK! I loved the ride itself. The music is really only secondary for me. I'm trying to think what other ROCK bands might work with the ride. U2 maybe?

I heard a while back that the name would be changed because of the contract with Aerosmith. I'm wondering if they can just drop Aerosmith from the attraction and keep it called Rockin' Roller Coaster. I think Disney would be wise to go with a name that has "staying" power instead of "fleeting" power like H.M or the Jo Bros. While they're currently successful etc., they're on top until Disney or whoever puts out the next new singing sensation.

Just my thoughts...but...they'll probably drop the Aerosmith name and with it they'd have to change the music and 'pre-show'. I'm sure we'll end up with a whole new soundtrack and get to be greeted by Hannah and JoBros. Oh joy. NOT!!!!!

This is too funny. I first read about this on 4/1 of this year. This is this is just a rehash of a very good April fools day joke. When things make it to the internet and are viewed a few months earlier the date doesn't seem to matter.

I could see a more generic rock 'n' roll theme if the contract with Aerosmith isn't renewed or maybe another band. Heck, this is Disney, they could create their own band for the attraction. The storyline wouldn't even have to change.

Ew. Hopefully this is just a nasty rumor, as it's popped up a few times already. I haven't seen any official press releases from Disney. I don't think a little sign by the ride is how they would advertise/spin such a change.

What adult, and for that matter teen (aren't most teens "too cool" for whatever is "popular"?) will want to ride the Teeny Bop N Roller Coaster? I don't know much about Jonas Brothers, but I know you can't very well call Hannah Montana (or Mylie Cyrus) "rock and roll". Heck, I only rode the thing BECAUSE it was Aerosmith. I agree it's just too popular as is, and I just don't see this happening. If it ain't broke, there are too many other things that really need fixin' to be wasting time and money on this. :thumbsup2

And I agree with Cookie. If the sign was really there, outraged DISsers would have it plastered all over here already, complete with petitions to save RnR starring Aerosmith (which I would happily sign :goodvibes).

I agree on all counts! Heck, it isn't even just teens. DS11 & his friends are all :snooty: too cool for HM/Jonas Bros. I'd never hear the end of it if Disney rethemed his favorite ride to his least favorite trend ever! :headache: My DD7 would like it, but she's the only one and she's still not tall enough to ride. The rest of us would be annoyed by the soundtrack but would probably suck it up because the ride is so cool.

I caught one episode when it premiered and more than anything it reminded me of the old Monkees TV show that was on Nick-At-Nite in reruns when I was about DD's age. Thank goodness DD isn't a Jonas Bros fan! Hannah Montana is more than enough teenybopper pop for this mom! :rotfl:

Gawd..please say no to the change!! I will be avoiding this if its in fact the case..

Maybe it will have a "Miley & Jonas Learn to Drive" theme! Wouldn't that be exciting!!

:rotfl2: This is too funny...but pleassseee DON'T take RnRC from me!!!!!!!!! I love that ride and could ride it 5 times in a row! ToT is not an option for me since I get panicked attacks on repeating drops but RnRC is awesome!

  1. The contract with Aerosmith is ending.
  2. The rumor about a Hannah Montana- and/or Jonas Brothers-themed reworking has been around for quite awhile with no confirmation of any kind.
  3. There is no sign at the ride.

Make of that what you will.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but...What band would you like to see the RNR changed to? The Beatles? Jimmy Buffet? Led Zep?

Hmm... too bad there's nobody on this thread who lives close enough to WDW to go look for the reported sign... ;)

AS I posted earlier in the thread - I just returned yesterday. There was NO SIGN. This is a false rumor.

regardless the ride doesnt change, just the preshow and music, so they can change hm/jb in a year or two when they fade out

Have to say no to the Beatles and Buffet (even though I am a huge Buffet fan)
would rather hear
Led Zep - Kiss - ZZ Top - and that good old Southern Girls favorite - Lynyrd Skynyrd !

All good suggestions. Skynyrd was the first thing that came to mind for me too. Whoever it is, is should be classic, guitar rock, fast-driving music, not pop or softer rock.
