I'm posting this on the land and world boards because I haven't came up with a destination yet. However due to my daughters school trip. I can only either go the last week of March or in the middle of June. I know both of them are nightmares, but from your experience which is the lesser of two evils? I would appreciate any help I'm trying to finalize this trip as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

June is our favorite month because the parks are open later. The earlier in the month the better though for crowds and weather.

I would pick March over June due to weather.

Last week of the upcoming March is going to include Easter crowds. That sounds super-scary to me. I'd rather go in mid-June. (and I don't particularly want to travel during either time, but this March we scheduled a cruise over my DH's birthday, not realizing at all that the day of disembarkation was Easter...had hoped to go to Universal before or after the cruise, but the room rates are atrocious)

Tough call.

The March week will be really crowded (extra crowded this year because of Easter), but the weather will be nice. June will also be really crowded but hot and wet. Personally I would go with the March week and just keep my expectations realistic, hit rope drop, and enjoy the nice weather.

If it wasn't so close to Easter, I'd probably go with the end of March. Even though the crowds will be worse, the weather should be much better (we have a late March trip planned for 2017, when Easter is in mid-April).

The way we deal with crowds is to mostly hit the parks from rope drop until about 1 pm, while making a judicious use of FP+ (we typically spend afternoons back at our resort). We also typically buy at least 7 day tickets (which, for example, allows for 3 MK days, 2 EP days, and 1 day at each of AK and HS). We only hit our favorite attractions and rarely do the same popular attraction more than once on the same trip. This allows us to divide the parks into manageable pieces that can easily be conquered within the first 3-4 hours.

To me, the biggest advantage to June over March is better temperature for the water parks (which we love). But this can be at least partially offset by the fact that June tends to have more afternoon thunderstorms. So, even when water parks are factored in, I think late March beats June from a weather perspective.
