Robotic Pool Cleaner - Have one?

I want to get my husband a robotic pool cleaner. Anybody have one that they can recommend? I had no idea there were so many options. It's for an in-ground pool.

Ours is a Polaris; we have had two houses with pools and always used the Polaris.

Thanks! I was looking at the Polaris and The Aquabot. I liked the Aquabot better and it gets consistently good reviews. Then I came across Dolphin and I think I like it best or at least as much as Aquabot.

Anyone have an opinion on Dolphin made by Maytronics ?

I like that Dolphin Deluxe 4 has the wall option as well as cleans the water surface. Guess I will keep researching

We got a Kontiki for free with out above ground. Kontiki has a love affair with the steps. It's always very clean in that area. The rest of the pool, not so much.

The Polaris is good, but I've heard the newer style models don't work as well.

We have a Tiger Shark (AquaVac). It was around $900 new. This will be our 9th year using it. We did have to replace the motor and the roller brushes in year 6 - total cost about $300 we replaced the parts ourselves.

We feel that we've definitely gotten our monies worth. We use fewer chemicals (easily half the amount that we used then when we manually vacuumed) - which also is benefiting the life of our liner. And of course, we spend drastically less time cleaning the pool and more time enjoying it!

hahaha! Read up to Pembo's post - apparently she DID have a romantic pool cleaner.
