We stayed at VGF 6/21 through 6/28. When we checked in, our studio did not have GF robes in the closet.

We asked two different cast members. Each looked at us like we were crazy.

Every photograph we have seen of VGF rooms, even studios, show robes in the closet.

Should the robes have been there? Were they missing because we were using points? Have robes been discontinued?

We were in a studio at VGF in May, we had robes provided.

I was in a VGF studio the beginning July 1-4 and we had robes. We didn't use them but they were in the closet.

Yes, there should have been robes.

From two different descriptions of VGF room amenities on the member website:

"There is mosaic marble tile on all bathroom floors. In the master bathroom, there is a freestanding Victorian style tub with air bubble jets and a walk-in master bath shower with beveled subway tile walls. Every bathroom features a mirror TV. Also, for your enjoyment there are bathrobes, additional towels and bath amenities."

"Common Room Amenities
•Alarm clock with radio
•Coffeemaker
•Microwave
•Flat panel TV
•Blu-ray™ player
•Mirror TV in each bathroom
•Wireless Internet access
•Iron and ironing board
•Hair dryer
•In-room safe
•Voicemail
•Portable crib
•Bathrobes"

The missing robes are probably on ebay. :sad1:

There were robes in our closet during our stays. I didn't try one on, I doubt if they are Pooh size. :goodvibes

We had them in our studio closet at VGF in May. Next time call housekeeping and let them know they are missing.

We did that. In fact, I stopped by the VGF lobby concierge to ask. The CM there told me "no robes in the villas." I also requested more plates and bowls, which prompted the CM to grill me about why I couldn't use the dishwasher. When I explained that studios don't have dishwashers and that I was requesting paper supplies, she just sighed.

When mousekeeping showed up with the paper plates and dish liquid we were also missing, my wife asked about the robes. The CM said "no robes."

I guess I should have pressed the issue.

I stayed at the GF in 1991. One of my favorite memories is the robe. I really talked up the robe. My kids saw people at the pool with robes. I know it's a little thing, but it's disappointing.

Oh well.

Oh well.

I'd contact DVC member satisfaction if I were you. One time at Kidani, I got nothing replenished on T&T day, so I called housekeeping. They assured me that T&T meant ONLY T&T, nothing else, so I called DVC to ask why members weren't notified of this change. Well, a short time later, not only did a housekeeper arrive with all our supplies, but for the rest of our stay we got turn-down service as an apology. So our experience is that DVC really does care about members' satisfaction.
