Worth a trip when resort hopping or not?

We are fans. It is one of our favorite resort QS locations, behind Riverside Mill at POR and Mara at AKL. It isn't huge, but with the construction at WL recently the crowd levels have been better. Also note that there may be more variety offered at other counters within RF, even though it is small. I've seen many menus posted that aren't comprehensive. I like the usual burgers and chicken, and find them to be slightly better than other QS. My wife has enjoyed their Roast Beef and Blue sandwich, which is more unique and tasty. I probably wouldn't travel to WL just to eat there, but would certainly stop by to check out the resort and would grab food if I was hungry.

We ate there once or twice when staying at VWL, but I wouldn't go out of my way from another resort to eat there.

I agree with this. When we stayed there a couple of years ago, I had the waffles every day. Mickey waffles with your choice of 3 different toppings. They were Bananas Foster, Strawberries and cream or chocolate chip. Each one equally yummy!

Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter are both good

Polynesian Capt Cooks...can get Tonga toast and dole whip
Animal Kingdom lodge...they have zebra domes

Lots of amazing QS locations all over Disney springs!!

One of the Disney blogs just posted a review of the specialty waffles there. Looked good! That being said, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit Roaring Forks unless I were staying at WL. The higher the level of resort, the less offerings the QS has. Values have the most robust food court offerings, but POR is my favorite on property.

I would never visit another resort just to eat at their quick/counter service, but that's just me. Table service is a different story, but counter service? None of them are worth the effort, imo.

Stayed at WL for 12 nights on our last trip..It is very small, and the pizza was very poor..We just grab a magic cookie bar and a waffle..lol...Yes..The food court at PORS and POFQ are awesome..The create your own pasta at RS and the beignets at FQ are awesome.

If it's a must do for you, I would vote for breakfast. It at least has a couple unique offerings rather than typical lunch fare you can find at any QS in WDW.

We have stayed there and love WL. Are you visiting for more than just a meal at Roaring Forks? The Lodge is beautiful and the boat ride to/from the MK is nice, but I can't see someone coming there just for a meal at Roaring Forks. Maybe I missed something great on the menu? It was nice enough, but pretty small.

NOTE: This is the Quick Service eatery at Wilderness Lodge. There is no food court.
The menu is severely limited and the food quality is only average. It ranks on the low
side of Deluxe Resort quick service eateries. Eating at Roaring Fork is OK if you are
staying there, but certainly not worth going out of your way. If you have time and
the grum-bellies can stand it, wait to eat their breakfast, but eat dinner before you
leave the park.
