We are staying at DWL for the first time this summer...how is the quick service there?

Roaring Forks is okay burgers, chicken tenders etc. We really just use it as a grab and go however and perfer QS in the parks, for example Cosmic Rays or Sunshine Seasons.

Sgt is right, its okay if you need to grab something quick but there are better places to spend your QS.

We are staying at the WL in May for the first time. From what I have seen on-line the menu looks pretty limited. We may catch a breakfast there, but otherwise we will eat our QS meals in the parks.

I happened to LOVE their flat bread pizza! It was yummy! We always love the breakfast bounty platter, but we like that at any of the resort we have stayed at... its the same thing. There is something about disney's scrambled eggs. Or it might just be because I had just woke up in Disney World!

But like the others have said their selection is limited compaired to a value or moderate resort, but I think it has more than enough choices for a couple of times during your trip.

I agree with the others. It's just okay.
They have the magic cookie bar snack item in their bakery display case (is that what they are called?) They are pretty good!

tuna sandwich and magic bars, was very good. My son had chicken tenders and they were good.

I've hit Roaring Forks many times over the years and never had a bad meal. The chicken tenders/nuggets and flatbreads were very good, and I really enjoyed the grilled chicken salad and roast beef sandwich.

We have eaten there quite a few time and really enjoyed it. Mostly enjoyed the pizza and breakfast.

It has the kind of food that our picky DS7 enjoys -- chicken tenders and burgers. One night they had pasta. After a day at a park, we usually grab a late supper there and take it back to our room. I usually have a sandwich or salad. Sometimes a cup of soup.

For breakfast I usually buy milk at the store and we have granola bars, pop tarts or cereal in our room before heading out.

Just ate there in January. My kids really enjoyed it.

*I think it's the only resort counter-service we've found with an ice cream machine for "create-your-own-soft serve ice cream cones". YUM!!!

We were therein December. The pizzas were good,my kids loved the ice cream bar too. It was ok in a pinch but I prefer some other CS places

Although there are not tons of choices, what they have there has always been very good. Salads and sandwiches are always very fresh, etc. I rather have quality over quantity any day (IMO).

We always end up eating at RF at least once each trip on our DHS day, because we don't care for the choices there.

Regarding the soup, what kind have you had there? Does it change daily or is a regular choice? The menus on the boards make no mention of soup (just chili).

Also a few have mentioned the ice cream. Can you get a milkshake here? I hear WCC has some of the best on property but wondering if an option at RF.

We've stayed and eaten at Roaring Fork for the past 3 years. My kids love it and DH and I enjoy it also.

DH always gets the chili and really likes it.

My kids LOVE the ice cream machine! They do not have shakes at RF, but WCC does have them; and they're all you can drink!

Do they sell pre-packaged refrigerated items, like ready made salads, sandwiches, cheese plates, fruit cups, yogurt and granola, etc....stuff like that?

We really like it! They have great, freshly made sandwiches and we like their flatbreads. DH likes their burger.

We'll often go back and eat here as opposed to eating at the park on DHS days as we like the foid better.

Yes, seating is limited but there are tables outside as well if need be.

We have been there on vacation more times then I can remember...I use to work for Disney but never stayed at the WL. I am looking forward to it.

NOTE: This is the Quick Service eatery at Wilderness Lodge.
There is no food court. The menu is severely limited and the food
quality is only average. It ranks on the low side of Deluxe Resort
quick service eateries. Eating at Roaring Fork is OK if you are
staying there, but certainly not worth going out of your way. If you
have time and the grum-bellies can stand it, wait to eat breakfast at
one of the parks, or eat dinner before you leave the park.
