We'll be staying at Wilderness Lodge and will probably be eating at Roaring Fork for breakfast a few mornings. I've been looking at the menu at allears and I'm kind of confused at how the dining plan would work for this.

Here's the menu

Banana Nut Muffin; Blueberry Muffin; Chocolate Chip Muffin $2.29
Butter or Chocolate Croissant $2.29
Plain, Honey Wheat or Cinnamon Raisin Bagel $2.29
Frosted or Glazed Donut $0.99
Sticky Bun $2.79
White or Wheat Bread $0.69
English Muffin $0.99

Create your own Yogurt Parfait or Cereal with toppings

Made To Order Yogurt Parfait - yogurt, fresh berries and granola $3.79

Kellogg's Cereals - Rice Krispies, Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Rasin Bran, Cruncheroos or Corn Flakes $2.99

Kellogg's Cereals - choose a cereal and select your toppings $3.99

Oatmeal - $2.49

Oatmeal - with toppings $3.99

Grits - $2.49

Toppings: fresh berries, granola, dried cranberries, blueberries, banana chips, candy pieces, sliced almonds, raisins, yogurt covered raisins, chocolate chips, gummi bears or marshmallows.

Breakfast Grill

Adult Breakfast Platter - with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit $5.99

Bounty Platter - with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes and a biscuit $7.99

Bacon, Egg and Cheese Croissant Sandwich - $5.79

Pancakes - with bacon $4.99

I'm sure it would include....say the adult breakfast platter with juice. So if you want the platter and then a yogurt or muffin or something else, that would be out of pocket, right?

Anyone ever eat breakfast there? How was it? Typical breakfast fare?

The bounty platter is big enough for 2 to share. It comes with juice and another beverage so we would get 2 16oz orange juices and use our refillable mugs for coffee. If you got an additional muffin or yogurt you could use that as a snack credit. Roaring Fork is our favorite CS!

We got the bounty platter, and coffee and juice was included. I am sure that they would substitute a yogurt for a juice. All that you can do is ask

We just left there and most of the time we got a hot meal of scrambled eggs and bacon and pancakes. With 2 drinks. I got a build your own parfait once and that counted with two drinks. I didn't care for the yogurt they use for the parfait though. I picked out all the fruit and tossed the yogurt. :)

We were there in December and got 2 bounty platters every morning. It was enough to feed 2 adults, an 8yr old, 6 yr old, and and 18 month old!

The platters are considered "combo" meals on the DDP. Things like the grits and oatmeal would be considered an entree, and you would be able to get a side. So you are correct, if you get the platters, the muffins and yogurt would be OOP. Both are snacks (or were last year)on the DDP. Roaring Forks is one of our favorite CS, maybe for sentimental reasons...it was our first meal at WDW, ever. They make a roast beek sandwich that is especially tasty, so don't be afraid to try lunch, either...and all the OPS are correct, the platters here are huge!

As long as you are staying there, don't miss the incredible sandwiches at roaring forks. The Beef and blue cheese is totally awesome, and HUGE!

Eventhough I am not the OP, we are going to be staying at WL for our trip in March and plan on eating at Roaring Fork for breakfast quite a few times ourselves. I am glad that all of you who have eaten there before has mentioned about proportion sizes because there are so many times that my DH and I would order something and wished later on that we shared the meal. :thumbsup2
