Road Rage in Atlanta

My aunt just got a new job in Atlanta, and it's a great job, but the problem is, it's dangerous!!! Everyone is freaking out because they can't get their precious gas.

She was waiting to make a right turn in downtown Atlanta, and the traffic was awful. She had been waiting in traffic for 30 minutes, when this guy on a motorcycle shot up on the left side, wanting to get in. She didn't let him. (bad decision)

He then got off his motorcycle, took his fist, and smashed her window in!!!!

He then proceeded to grab her by her hair and bang her head against the side of the car.

He finally let her go and then punched her in the side of the head a few times.

She rolled over into the side of the seat, beaten to a pulp, and the man drove off in the other direction.

She has talked to the police and all that, but she didn't get the license plate number.

She's okay, no serious injuries, but if this is any indication of what's to come.. People need to get a hold of themselves!!!

Too many people have the intitlement mentaility and it is causing havoc all over our great nation.

I'm really sorry to hear about your aunt. I live in Atlanta and have been fortunate not to see this sort of behavior. I actually thought things were settling down a bit as I was all over town (from north to south) yesterday for my job and saw absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. Even a lot of gas stations were down to $2.99/reg...no more than $3.19 (I know, I know-thats STILL a lot) but no lines or anything. Please let us know that she's okay.

I hope your aunt will be okay and I hope that creep is caught, that was so unnecessary and violent. I've lived in Atlanta since 1987 and have never seen anything like that happen... it's inexcuseable.

Road rage is a big problem anywhere there is traffic, and Atlanta is notorious for it. The gas is just the tip of a major problem here when it comes to transportation. There are very few options and most people here have to commute MILES to get anywhere.

God bless your family, and again, I hope your aunt gets pass this. As a victim of MANY crimes (former NYer) I understand how distressing this can be. I hope she seeks prof help because the wounds can run very deep.

Sorry, I changed the title. That is just how I was feeling at the time. Her first week on the job and this happens. We used to live in Atlanta as well, but got out in the early 90's.

Didnt anyone else witness this in heavy traffic? Maybe if you call one of the news channels, someone will come forward as a witness and the jerk on the motorcycle will be caught.
Motorcyclists are the first to cry foul when they get hit in traffic, yet nearly every time I am in traffic you see them drive between lanes at red lights, drive in and out of trafic, etc. Makes me so mad.

wasn't there anyone around to help? I have been here for 9 and 1/2 years and usually ppl are very good about helping others and using their cell phones to report accidents etc. . . .

Yes Atlanta is notorious for road rage unforunately. . . .
