Roaches in man's luggage as he tried to board a plane.

I was watching Southwest's Airline last night. Gross! Gross! and Gross!

This man put his carry-on luggage on the belt to go through security. The TSA pulled it because there were roaches crawling in and out of the bag. The man was upset because he didn't see any roaches. Southwest made him leave the building with his luggage. They made him open his luggage and when he did those dang bugs went everywhere! He kept saying I don't see any blank blank roaches. The women said sir, they are crawling up your pants legs. The camera moved down and you could see the bugs crawling up his legs.

He was then asked did he have any more luggage and he said yes, he checked them. The two SW employee's looked at each with that oh crap look on their face.

They have a reality show that follows their planes, crew and passengers. I'm not sure what channel I was watching it on. I just came across it and caught that one part. It's the first time I had ever seen it. Heard about it some time back, but never watched it.

He claimed the bag had been in storage for some time. But I honestly don't know how he could miss them. Even before the suitcase was open the bugs were coming out from the handle area and running across the top of the case.

He would pick the bag up and throw it down. Every time he would do that more bugs would bounce out from the handle area.

Netflix has the first season on "instant watch"--I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I watched it! I had no idea there was a new season but I'll be looking for it on Netflix for sure once it comes out.

Netflix has the first season on "instant watch"--I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I watched it! I had no idea there was a new season but I'll be looking for it on Netflix for sure once it comes out.

There isn't a new season, it was cancelled over 2 years ago. This must be re-runs.

Can I just say I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. It constantly amazes me what people do when they travel. "My medication that I need to take every 4 hours in order to survive is packed in my checked luggage." I don't care if you only have a 4 minute flight, don't pack your medication in checked luggage. EVER. "The airline lost my bag that was exactly like the bag I have here, but they made me check it." That bag is smaller than my purse. Seriously, it was about the size of one of those square, fabric lunchbags. What would possess you to check a bag that small when airlines regularly lose bags much bigger than that? I just don't get it.

Note to self...do not fly Southwest. I used to watch Airline quite a bit, I'm happy to say I missed this one.

I teach in NYC. On occasion, roaches will climb out of kids' backpacks and/or homework notebooks. I'm just glad it's not an everyday thing!
