I have been to Disney many many many many times, but always chicken out of RnRC :scared: This upcoming trip (less than a week away :cheer2:) I want to get in line and stay :lmao: . My question is, what should I expect? Is it as scary as I think it is? Mind you, I have ridden ToT, all mountains, Everest Primal Whirl....but RnRC is my Kryptonite. Mind you, because I always get out of line DS and DH have never ridden it either. Even though I beg them to not leave because of me :sad2:

Oh my goodness - I think TOT is so far beyond RnR in terms of "scariness". On the initial launch, you accelerate rapidly to around 60 mph, and that's really it in terms of something to be nervous about - the rest is nothing but fun. Disclaimer: RnR is my favorite ride at WDW and the ONE that DW will not ride because of her sensitivity to acceleration. Do it! :thumbsup2

My 13yr old has ridden ToT many times and loves it but would always say that she didn't want to ride RNRC. So on our last trip in 2011 she decided to give it a try and loved it. She asked me during the ride when are we going to go upside down? I told her that it was the first thing we did once we took off. She didn't even realized it. That ride has made her into a daredevil and she will ride anything now.

So I say...Go for it. It's so fun. :cheer2:

The upside down is what has kept me off it. Being upside down doesn't sound fun to me especially going 60 mph. How long does it last and how far off the ground are you?

It happens so quickly you really don't even realize you are upside down. You won't be able to tell how far you are off the ground because it is a little dark.

Last November, my DS8 rode it for the first time. He LOVED it and talks about it all the time. He is trying to talk DW into it on our next trip. You should give it a try. It is the smoothest coaster at WDW. The upside down part is very quick and not scary. GO FOR IT!

Pure adrenaline rush for those who like the tamer roller coasters (myself included). You won't catch me on those killer roller coasters that you see on TV. But I do enjoy a milder roller coaster, and RnR is the perfect coaster for me. The launch is a rush to your senses and the inversion is right at the beginning in complete darkness so you don't realize it. After the inversion it gets a little brighter; you can see highway signs and see part of the track as it approaches. There are a couple of corkscrews but they are easier on the body than a full inversion. It is definitely a dark ride but not pitch black like Space Mountain, with the exception of the initial inversion.

Try it!!! You'll be proud of yourself for doing something outside your comfort zone and I bet you'll love it too!!

RNRC is an awesome fun ride -- if you did TOT -- RNRC will be easy --

try to sit near the front ( i wont say THE front, but that is the best!) as the closer you are to the front the smoother the ride is.

Thanks everyone, you answered a lot of my questions. I am going to do it again, get in line, that is.....hopefully what I have been told will easy my mind and I will not chicken out, again!:scared::scared1:
