It didn't ruin our trip or anything to not have BTMRR operating, but it did change the feel for us. Maybe it was the different routine without it? Either way, maybe go in with low expectations and hope for the best. MK is still incredible with lots to do.
Can you switch your HS day to earlier in your trip?
Dan
After looking at it, I don't think so. I've already got all the ADRs and FP lined up on top of the fact that the only day that would be "recommended" is the day we're going to MNSSHP! I might have to talk to my group about springing for hoppers or something. Totally bummed!
Taking the positive outlook, not being able to ride RNR and Big Thunder will allow guests more time in their schedule to catch the Main Street Electrical Parade one nigh............Oh, wait, never mind.

The timing does seem to suck, given that other things are down. And we won't be there during that time, so it doesn't effect me personally. I can see where it would be upsetting for those going. At the same time, thankfully it's just a short term closure. I'm sure to do anything more than a routine check, they have to shut the ride down. There's no "good" time to do it. Curious to see what changes will be made, if any. Perhaps they're going to turn the lights on for days so they can scour the place and remove any phallic symbols or other things that could be considered suggestive.
Ok, I was a little upset Rivers of Light didn't pan out. But I got over it.
Kinda bummed about MSEP. But I got over it.
Increase in MNSSHP prices, too much for this Canadian girl and our ginormous exchange rate (obviously not Disneys fault). But I got over it.
BTMR re-hab announcement was a like a chop to the throat. But I got over it (barely).
I was reminded by my daughter that all of the above would be ok, we'd just ride RNRC a bazillion times to make up for the closures.
And the hits just keep on coming.
Not sure I'll get over this one.![]()
A "good" time would be when one of the other coasters at WDW is not closed.
