For those looking to purchase at the Riviera, not that this would be a surprise, it was interesting to see that the only room type to immediately no longer be available for certain nights were the Tower Studios.

I checked to see what availability still existed from opening day (Dec 16th) through January.

The only room type I could find that had days not available were the Tower Studios.

Of course, many nights were still available during that period. Just certain nights were gone.

I am not sure how many of those units Disney released in the original batch to DVC but it was interesting to see what room types would fill first.

Also, interesting to see, with only people who purchased during this early pre-sales period (basically existing DVC members) able to book the Riviera with newly purchased DVC points, they still sold out a few nights of one room type.

I am guessing that will be one of the room types you really can only get if you own Riviera points (i.e. very rarely will you see them available at 7 months).

We'll get there someday ... I'm not in any rush and my points still have a long runway ahead (many years remaining on the contract).

The original batch was 9. I would absolutely expect that you need to own there to ever get into them. If I add on, still thinking but likely, I’m not going to be surprised if I’m never able to stay in one even then. 24 is an extremely small number.

We are hoping to stay one night before our large group arrives next spring. Expecting it just to be a one and done experience, but still curious. If the BLT studios seem small, I can't imagine what these will feel like

With the bed closed and by having no walk in kitchenette it may feel similar to the living area of BLT - maybe feel bigger. Of course then it’s a hidden kitchenette of some sort and you will eventually open the bed. ;)

I don't think I would stay in one if it were only 50 points for a week, there just too small.

There are 4 days that are booked. 2 are in the first week. I don’t think I would book the tower studio even if it was just 2 of us going, I think they will be just too small. Notice how they didn’t build a demo one at SSR DVC showroom. One would think they would want to show it off. Granted the room is an odd shape, they should still have the room there to do it.
