Anyone ever take a step back and think: "why am I desperate to book a dining package for a show that's nearly a year overdue and is so rife with problems that it may be completely awful when and if it does open?"
No? As long as they sell it, we'll buy?
Anytime after dark really. It's said to have at least two showings per night. When this show finally opens and assuming it hopefully is open when I am there late March, what time do we think it will be? I'm assuming after dark so closer to 8 probably?

I think Tiffins might be a bit more than I'm willing to spend for a meal, although I have heard fantastic things about the Nomad Lounge. I think we are definitely going to try a few drinks and an app or two there!
Yes, I've thought about it. I use the Jungle Book dining package as my reference, and why I'll book a RoL if it's available during our upcoming planned trip:
1) Difference in the cost of the meal was not significant (for us) to warrant the concern.
2) We had planned on dining in both Tiffins and Tusker House during that timeframe.
3) We really enjoyed Jungle Book as a cultural dance performance piece set to live musicians. (There are many ballets that use canned music instead of live orchestra.) Therefore, we'll still plan to see RoL even if there are similar dissonant reviews as Jungle Book.
4) Many people still went to see Spider Man:Turn off the Dark*, before and even after the script re-write and director change. If I were already spending the funds on a meal and getting a show for a modest $10-$20 fee, then (for us) the problems leading up to the technically-fraught show are not significant for us to warrant concern.
*Spider Man was a broadway musical plagued with many, many problems over a long course of time. In some respects, there are parallels to RoL.

I was about to write---> ROFL, but didn't want to confuse anyone with ROL....
Are there any rumors about a RoL dining package? We plan to see the show the night of 2/26 (if it's going) and I've yet to try Tiffins, Tusker House or Yak & Yeti for dinner. I was hoping to pair one of those restaurants with a show package if they are going to have them.
When we did the dining package for the Jungle Book, we found the Tiffins dining package to be the "better value" over our Tusker House dining package. We also found it to be the most enjoyable restaurant of our trip, and I would even speak "sacrilege" to put it on par with Victoria and Alberts for proper cuisine preparation. (We were there 1st week June2016.) We also LOVED Nomad lounge next door, and I would be quite content to lounge there while the family toured the park.
If one enjoys signature dining experiences, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tiffins. That said, I appreciate that not everyone has a budget for signature, and not everyone desires a sig. restaurant for their family meal. These days, Tiffins takes the Disney Dining Plan and Tables in Wonderland card, if you decide to go and the RoL has not yet debuted.
Have a wonderful time at the parks during your visit, wherever you may dine!

Dinner is out of our price range too but LUNCH is half as much money!! They have sort of a pre-fixed menu for $28....pick 2 items.

But seriously...This made me F-n Laff.![]()
I didn't know there was an AP discount for Tiffins, I need to look that up, do you know if it's 10 or 20% off the top of your head? Lunch might actually be an option there if that's the case!
The prices for the same items are the same on the current lunch and dinner menus. There is also no prix-fixe menu option listed. How long ago did you eat at Tiffin's?
