River Belle Terrace: How is the food? Anyone been there recently?

Hi.
I was thinking of making a reservation at RBT. The menu is ok. I was wondering if anyone has been there recently? How is the food?
Any information is appreciated.

We went last year, so not exactly recent, but many of the menu items are the same. We enjoyed it more than we thought we would, and I'd definitely go there again.

I guess there's a reason why in the many trips I've been, I've never done this restaurant. Ambiance is OK, not great. Our service was probably the worst I've had at a DL restaurant. It was disappointing in every way.

It's like mediocre counter service food. There is a good reason why this restaurants is always WIDE OPEN for reservations every single day.

It depends on what you get. The chicken sandwich and loaded tots were really good (with huge portions so you end up only eating half) but the steak/scallops meal I didn't care for. It might be because I've never tried scallops and so had nothing to base off of it, but the smell threw it all off for me. The desserts have always been good. We've only ate there for the Fantasmic viewing but ordered off the regular menu for some of it.

I noticed that. I am not crazy about the menu. I noticed no more potato tots and they do house fries. I am on the fence about River Belle and leaning no.

Thanks. I was looking at the chicken sandwich with house fries. Not thrilled with the menu.

The new Patty Melt loaded tots at Red Rose Taverne are one of the best QS items I've had at Disneyland in a LONG time.

Hungry Bear has slipped in quality massively. I used to love it. We don't go there anymore.

Smokejumpers has been solid the last few times we went. We had one of our best meals there in years 2 weeks ago. Really amazing fried chicken sandwich and the crinkle fries and onion rings are A+.

This place needs to be replaced. They took out the good Big Thunder BBQ. Maybe if they changed it to a BBQ place like the one at Epcot American Adventure, it wouldn't be just taking up space. It needs help.

It kind of is a BBQ restaurant, but just a really bad one.

It was phenomenal back in the day when it was a QS that served carved meat sandwiches. They need to turn it back into that.

They don't have the space to do anything really unique like slow smoked BBQ.

To this day, best pasta salad I've ever had.

I loved the pasta salads at RB...French Maket used to have a cold shrimp pasta salad that was awesome!

Oh, I know! They can make biscuits and gravy available all day. If they did that, I'd probably be there every single day of the trip!
