Just booked today :teeth: . I love staying on property but we wanted to try something a little different. For those of you who have stayed here before, what are your thoughts???? Thanks guys! :wave2:

Whoa, you have just booked the premier new property in Orlando...I golfed there with a friend who was staying in one of the rooms and he has traveled a lot and was awestruck at the rooms, and the beauty...
You are surrounded by a golf course, and will not be able to walk to much of anything unless you REALLY like to walk...

This hotel is kind in the middle of nowhere as far as other hotels are concerned. You will be IMPRESSED!!

Enjoy..Ted

I stayed there and LOVED it. Service was expectional, bed was comfortable and the overall atmosphere was great.

(Personally, I think the GF management needs to move in for a week and see how you REALLY run a resort hotel)

We stayed there shortly after it opened and it knocks the spots off every other hotel in the area for both quality and service. Disney could learn some lessions. We enjoyed eating at Norman's and Fairways (the golf clubhouse) and we were also pleasantly surprised by the 'regular' restaurant, The Vineyard Grill.

The facilities of JW Marriott are also available to you as a guest of the R-C. It has a pool with a lazy river and some good restaurants - we ate at Primo.

You are very close to Sea World and Discovery Cove and all the other attractions are within easy driving distance.

My wife, Son and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton from July 1st. to July 8th. Everything about the Hotel is first class. The rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable, the food was great, (try the dinner buffet at Citrons located at the JW Marriot, it's well worth it). Also, check the Hotels website for packages, we were fortunate enough to get a package that included free breakfast buffet at the Vineyard Grill for 2, for the length of our stay ($57 a day value) and a $25.00 dollar a day Spa credit, which my wife took advantage of. The cost of the room was 199.00 a night. This is truly a 5 star Hotel and property. You will not regret your stay! Pool and poolside service are excellent.

I was intially apprehensive about staying off Disney property for the simple fact of having the use of Disney transportation between the Disney parks and hotels. What I can tell you is when we left the Magic Kingdom on Wednesday 07/05 at about 1030 pm, the lines for the monorail and buses were very, very long. It was nice to have a car and driver waiting for us. I used a local car service company (Elite Transportation) for transportation between the Hotel and parks.

Have a great time.

Joe
