As a follow-on to my earlier question about great holiday buffets, I have found out, among other things, that the Renaissance Hotel no longer does their buffet. Bummer! So, we have now trying to decide between the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes or the Hyatt Grand Cypress holiday buffets and I am hoping you can help give us more information!

The prices seem similar, though I can't get an exact price for either. If you have been to either of these, can you please tell me how your holiday buffet was, types of food, atmosphere, alchohol provided or no, etc.? Let's see if we can get enough information to make a good comparison.

Thanks so much!
Heidi

i am thinking of staying at the Ritz Carlton for a few days next summer. The kids want to do Discovery Cove before we head into Disney.

I no nothing about this resort so subbing anything I can find on the joint. I am sure its not a roach motel but eerrr... just want to make sure :thumbsup2

Thats a joke, right?

yes I was kidding ... sorry for injecting humor :rotfl2:

I am sure its not a roach motel... i just know very little about that particular resort so was looking for inside info

sorry to scare you :rotfl2:

the Renassance no longer offer their buffett:headache: that is just wrong!
Marriott strikes out again. their Sunday buffett was the BEST!

don't know which would be better. - well ritz-carlton is owned by Marriott - so would go with Hyatt.

I thought so, but you cant take anything for granted these days. :)

Ive only stayed there once, but have had family who has stayed there frequently, and they love it. Its a beautiful property. I have played many rounds of golf there, and been to the restaurants, and really enjoyed both.
