Rita's Ice Anyone?

I know that over half of the nation does not know what I'm referring to, but Rita's is a fantastic Italian Ice around here in the northeast. So here's my question:

Who has tried the new Swedish Fish ice? I'm thinking I'll make a special trip tonight - they owe me some free stuff anyway.

What is your favorite flavor? I've been loyal to mango. Switched to Georgia Peach last year, then they ripped that out from under me. Holding out hope for the SF flavor, or I'll have to go back to Mango.

Oh Rita's is one of the things I miss most about living in the Philly area, we have a few in MA, but none close to me.

I have always loved Watermelon, but they don't always have it. Cookies and Cream is also another one that I like, but hard to get. I have become a big fan of Gelati's with Cherry Water Ice and Vanilla Custard, they always have that.

Yummy, I am in love with the Splenderita. Its delicious a long as I do not taste my kids regular stuff because if I do, I notice the difference but if I don't it tastes the same to me

Cherry is my first love, but then the green apple, and melon are pretty close behind.

Now I want some too! Guess where I will be going tonight?

They actually have them in GA now too. And they have the GA PEACH there.

My fave as far as just ice was the lemon. But its now lemonade and i'm not fond of it.

As far as gelati-watermelon and vanilla custard! Or kiwi-strawberry! The grape is pretty good too!

Mmmmmm, we had some the other night. I'm not a real big fan of Italian Ice so I always get a small chocolate custard with chocolate sprinkles.

I have one right across the street from me here in Orlando, we have gone a few times will have to go today or tomorrow I have a hankering for one now!

We've gone almost every day this summer.

I love the Peach and Wild Black Cherry (it puts the regular cherry to shame.)

DS's favorite is green apple.

DD and DH like pineapple and mango.

We like key lime but liked the regular lime they used to have much better.

Oh man it's been a while since we're been to Rita's. I think we'll have to head over to check out this one! I'm going to call to see which Rita's has that one.

Normally I am a Raspberry girl. My kids are Mango kids. But I think swedish fish might change them over.

I like the "Mounds" Gelati. It's coconut ice with chocolate custard. Yum!

We just started getting Rita's in mid North Carolina last year.

Looking forward to any Sweedish Fish reviews!!! I do not like any of the flavors with chunks in them. Its a texture thing with me....don't like surprises! My favorites are vanilla and rootbeer.

I had a sample of Swedish Fish. And they were giving away small packs of the candy. It was ok, very sweet, no chucks in it. I think it tasted like the candy but I don't eat candy that much.

My favorites are pina colada and blue raspberry. And the Ritaccino is very good. I usually buy kid's sized water ice and get my card stamped. Then with a full card I get a Ritaccino.

My dd said it tasted like the candy - she loved it. I can't stand Italian ice - I always get the custard!

DS21 had the Swedish Fish one yesterday. Extremely sweet, tastes JUST like swedish fish. He said it's good in small amounts.

I tried it the other day and I did not like it. I went for the raspberry lemonade instead.

I used to work for Rita's! My absolute favourite is cookies-n-cream, and after that, vanilla chip, grape, cotton candy, & blueberry. My mom's favourites are coconut cream, blueberry, pina colada, cotton candy, twisted melon, wild berry, blue raspberry, watermelon, & raspberry. My dad's favourites are cotton candy, mango, cookies-n-cream, cherry, lemon, green apple, & wild black cherry.

Some recipies I recommend:
+ misto: cookies-n-cream ice with vanilla custard.
+ misto: orange cream ice with vanilla custard (tastes like a creamsicle).
+ blendini: cookies-n-cream ice, vanilla custard, & oreo pieces.
+ gelati: pineapple ice with vanilla custard (will remind you of a dolewhip).
+ misto: vanilla ice with vanilla custard (vanilla milkshake ish).
+ misto: chocolate ice with chocolate custard (chocolate milkshake ish).

WILD BLACK CHERRY!!! Like the PP said, it puts regular cherry to shame. So addictive.
