Dudley DoRight's Ripsaw Falls went down for refurbishment today. It is predicted to be down until the middle of December or the first of January.

That's cool. Most of the water rides go down at this time, and come back just in time for February, one of the best months to visit.

You have no idea how happy you made me  My sister wanted to go on this ride and I really didn't want to. She would throw a fit if I didn't go on with her though wooohoooo now it's not an issue.
:flower:

I wish they'd make it not soak the people so much. Yes, I know water is a part of the ride, but literally drenching your entire upper body is not my idea of fun. It's the side water jets that do it. Take a few of them out and turn down the water pressure. Or make a water vortex that goes over the flume without soaking everyone.

This sucks!!! I soooooooo wanted to ride this ride. I am now sooooooooooo disappointed. My kids are going to be sooooooooooo sad. I don't know if I can go on living, I may have to cancel my next vacation.

You better watch it, Slacking, or you may lose your tag that says "one of the nicests guys on the Universal boards." :rotfl2:

no matter how much annual refurb, it'll still continue to break down daily. get rid of the $.25 water cannons if you want to stay dry. :)

If they close water rides down at this time of the year, does that mean Jurassic and Popeye's will be closed too?

No, just Dudley. Its not down because of colder weather (well, that may be one reason), its down because it needs some refurbishing and traditionally rides go down during the slower parts of the year (yeah, it sounds like it will be down during the Xmas and Tgiving rushes, but I doubt most people will be sad its closed during that part of the year.)
