the .25 cent jets may be fun to spray people, but the ruin the ride. especially during high humidity times. it takes hours to dry your shirt. same thing with JTA at seaworld. you get mildly wet, but then you face the gauntlet of people with stacks of quarters on the jets. kills the fun, IMO.

How silly, we wouldnt want to get wet on a water ride, right? I derive much joy from soaking people going by, target practice....next!

They must be changing it. I don't understand why, but they are. There's no NEED for the track to be replaced. They need to stop screwing with this thing. Ever since whatever it is they did last time, the drop has been a lot less thrilling. It's pissing me off.

I've tried the flip flops thing. Unless you have the kind that are made like shoes, it's very hard to walk in them. The old style kind that have the 1 strap that goes between the big toe, are impossible to walk long distances in. What I normally do, is wear my oldest shoes into the park if I'm going on the water rides.

I don't mind the squirt guns either, that's only a little splash. But the water jets at the bottom of Rip Saw Falls are like showers. I have to close my eyes, or else my contacts will fly out.

flume attractions are about the drop and the anticipation of the drop(s). in the meantime, there's some stoytelling along the way. I don't get mind getting mildly wet, but if I want to get drenched, I'll ride bilge rat barges or jump into the lagoon. the jets are unneeded. you don't see them at the bottom of splash mountain. ripsaw used to be the baddest final drop there was. it is less intense now, when the ride is even operating. hopefully this refurb will correct the problems. wait, I say that every winter.

My family actually has water ride attire. My newest addition to that attire is crocs--just bought them before my last trip. I have coolmax quick drying shirt and pants. I bought mine from LLBean, but I know there are others out there. Undergarments are also available and yes, do dry pretty quickly.

DH and DS wear their swim trunks with a quick drying T-shirt. They wear decent water shoes that are comfy for all day wear.

I typically fold a large (2 gallon) ziploc bag or plastic shopping bag and put it into a pocket or fanny pack. When it is water ride time, we empty our pockets and put fanny packs and hats into the bag. Everything stays nice and dry. Oh--and I usually have a bandana or washrag with my to dry my face--mostly from those controversial jets!

The term 'fanny pack' is considered more funny than offensive.
However, we do not use this term in the UK.

'p***** off' is considered offensive in the UK but obviously not in the US.

Obviously there are certain quirks and differences within the 'english' language.

Think we should get this back on thread subject though, sorry - back to Ripsaw....great ride, cannot wait till August to go on it again.
