Thinking of going to Ripleys and/or Wonderworks really just to have a look round and a bit of a break from the parks.

Are they any good/worth it?

Any views please

Cant say about ripleys, but avoid wonderworks!!!

The best thing about this is the outside!, is pricey on the entrance fee, very drab, and in need of a good overhaul!!, its one of those back street typical attractions that you would get at a seaside resort!.
The inside didnt hold any fun for our DS, just felt like a few rooms, with games etc in. Definately wouldnt waste my money on this again, a big thumbs down for us, we felt this was the biggest let down of the whole holiday.

We were going to give it a go this time like you say Jules the outside looks so good. I think now we'll maybe give it a miss. Can anyone recommend any other places to go like this for a few hours?

I agree with Sign talker that wonderworks is a rip off and so is ripleys believe it or not. dirty ,dingy, over crowded ,over priced.
You are better spending youre money on an airboat ride or something else.

We enjoyed both Ripley's and Wonderworks - it's certainly a change of pace from the theme parks and both places have interesting and hands-on exhibits. Probably not suitable for young children but teenagers and adults with enquiring minds who take the time to view/partake in the exhibits will find it a rewarding experience. Certainly they are not as well maintained as the theme parks and the food counters are to be avoided but you can spend 2-3 hours in each. Makes a good evening out.

Is wonderworks the upside down building near Pointe Orlando?
My DD, then 7. loved this place. DH took her and she really enjoyed it. She has specifcally asked to go again this trip. She is 9 now. I did not go in but DH thought it was good, they were in there hours!! I managed to spend allmost the same amount of time in FAO !

Hi,

I was at both Ripley's and Wonderworks ( upside down building on I Drive).

Both were interesting with hands on experiments at Wonderworks and Ripleys had a lot of stuff on the weird and unusual.
I personnally preferred Ripleys but at Wonderworks if you go with a family you can have fun at the Laserquest area on the top ( bottom? floor)
Wonderworks is just across the street from Pointe Orland which is worth a look around.

Regards

If you don't fancy Wonderworks or Ripleys why not try The Titanic Exhibition at the Mercardo? If you have seen the film it is quite interesting for a few hours away from the parks.

Hard Rock have also opened a memrobelia exhibition at Mercardo but we haven't tried it yet.
