Some of you may know or may not know the # of days for DQ is limited. It has 18 months and then will be demolished to make room for a new ESPN zone. If you are going to WDW soon, don't forget to go inside. I don't know if there is any way to save this or not, but if there is, we should do our part. DQ is great and was/is always fun for a night at DTD. Too bad it will be gone....

I had no idea! We're visiting DQ for the first time next October because my boys have been reading up on it and really want to go. Wow! I'm shocked that it's closing in 18 months.

Wow, are you serious? I went once and didn't care for it that much, but it seems odd that they'd take it down...Where did you hear that it's days were numbered?

What??? DH and DS will be devastated! They love going to that place...every trip! I just play some Mighty Ducks pinball, old video games, and hang out and watch the rest of the time. This is the first I've heard of DQ's demise, so I'd be interested in knowing what source the info came from to see how reliable it is. I wouldn't be surprised though since Disney didn't follow through on the construction on one DQ in the US and the other one closed, leaving the DD DQ the only one. And now with the impending deconstruction of the current PI venues...looks like the entire DD area may being overhauled. We'll have to see how this pans out...

OH NO! We are going on our first WDW vacation in July. DQ is the place my ds and dh are most looking forward to. I really don't like the idea of an ESPN. That just will not appeal to everyone. Anyway glad we will make it to DQ before it closes.

RUMOR

Nothing official has been posted yet. The Jim Hill article is probably mostly speculation. Most of his "rumor" articles are just speculation.

I called Disney Quest today, and spoke with some friends of mine who are cast members there, and spoke with a manager at DTD, and NONE of them had heard anything about this news. The Jim Hill article makes it seem as if Cast Members were informed about this - and they haven't been.

The RUMOR about ESPN Zone has been around for about two years now.

This is a RUMOR...aka... PURE CRAP until proven otherwise.
