RIP Block Party Bash

Well, for those of you know, Block Party Bash is gone. Im sad i couldnt make it to the last show.

I would like to congrat all the hard working CMs that dance their little hearts out for putting up such a great performance.

Block Party Bash is my most favorite parade at Disneyland. I will miss it a lot.

Lets just hope Pixar Pal is better.

Anyone care to comment/pay tribute to the parade?

Both of my children LOVED the Block Party Bash! It was a high energy, fun event. I'm sorry to see it go, but I have high hopes for Pixar Pals.

Temporarily the EP will run on weekends to fill the space for a parade. Pixar Play parade (or is it Pixar Pals?) will debut in March in time for Spring Break crowds.

My boys adored Block Party Bash (and we parents liked it too) . It was a super fun parade full that always put smiles on our faces and a skips to our steps. Thanks to all the CMs who put on the show. We will miss it.

I thought it was very well done and I enjoyed watching the CM's get into what they do. RIP

My fondest memory of BPB is from December, 2006. We had a group of about 30 of us, ranging from babies to grandparents. Well, during the parade, the kids were all dancing and having a great time, and then I turned around and all of the grandparents were dancing behind us! It was so cute, it almost broke my heart.

I think they're moving it to MGM Studios (or whatever they're calling it now) over in WDW.

I'm so sad to see it go. That parade had so much energy and was great with getting everyone into it . I hope that the next one is just as good... I look forward to seeing it this summer..

Albort, it is not RIP for BPB because it is not dying. Just moving on.

We loved BPB! Unfortunately, the one time we went to see it, DS2 fell asleep right before it started. Even with his stroller parked right under a speaker, he didn't wake until it was all over. And DS6 was wearing his golden Mickey ears, but the elastic chinstrap slipped up and snapped him in the eye, so he HOWLED through the whole thing, with his face buried in my shirt. He was sitting curbside, right in front of the dancers and characters, with only adults all around him, they really looked like they wanted him to participate! But he would have none of it, wouldn't even look up at his heroes, Buzz and Woody.

But DH and I loved it!

personally, i just find BPB way too dated. i'm really surprised it's going to DHS without any updates.

amazing characters though.. mr. potatohead, boo, george sanderson, slim..

Thanks Brad, I was pretty certain what it is called, but when Albort called it Pixar Pal I thought I had it wrong or maybe they changed it.

What would you add to update BPB? Cars? Ratatouille?

i guess it would help to at least have lightning and mater. i guess they were in BPB for a bit. they were also in stars & motorcars at DHS but didn't last very long there either.

but really, it's just monsters, inc., toy story (excuse me.. toy story 2!) and a bug's life. the incredibles aren't even worth mentioning here.

granted toy story 3 is coming.. nemo is still neglected and incredibles aside, that makes the 'newest' movie represented to be monsters inc, from 7 years ago.

not to mention wall*e is coming in june.

i just think it's a stretch to make it a 'new' parade at DHS.

WHAT? NOOO! I thought I had more time! Block Party Bash is my favorite parade in DCA and DLR combined.. I didn't get to see it one last time....

I agree with it needing to be updated, they could really add a lot of neat characters! It was fun but not my favorite. Was never too happy that you only got to see what stopped in front of you. My son loved getting one of the little balls they throw out at the end though.

EP is still my all time fav!
