Hey all! I hope you don't mind me asking a question of all of you.
I am a straight, married woman. My best friend is a gay male. Recently, he gave me an old ring of his that I always admired. Basically, it is a silver band with dragon designs on it (gotten at the Rennaisance Festival). The only finger it fits on is my right pointer finger. I've been wearing it for a couple of months now.
Just tonight, my neighbor/"friend" asked me why I wear it on that finger. My simple answer was "because it's the only finger it fits on". Her reply was "You know that means your a lesbian". Ok, whatever.
I had never heard this before, and even if it does and people think that, so be it...they can think whatever they want.
But it just got me curious...is that a symbol of being a lesbian? I was planning to ask my BFF, but he works nights, so I probably won't even have a chance to talk to him until the weekend, by which time I will have forgotten all about it.
