Anyone know of any coupons/discounts for Ringling Brothers circus tickets? Thanks.

but just a heads up, my family went last year and it was awful! We had such a horrible time and the show wasn't very good :sad2: ...I think we went to the red show?? I loved going to the circus as a child and even 5 years ago, but this was a bad experience for us. I hope you have a good time going.

you too, I thought it was just us. We almost fell asleep out of boredom. They spent forever doing acrobatics, but it was dark and the music was lulling. It was not at all as excited as it use to be.

The Entertainment book has a buy 1 get 1 free coupon in it which is a GREAT discount for the circus! 1 Coupon is good on up to 8 tickets.

Also check and see if they are having a special opening night discount. I know around here they usually do a special family night rate.

We thought it was horrible too, 2 years ago, but tomorrow actually we are going again. I want to try it one last time, DS is older now, he wasn't excited about it at all before, yet loved every other show we went to. It is also at the venue right by us that I always say why doesn't the circus ever come here! Now if only they would bring disney on ice to it!

I just got an email to use the code ELEPHANT for presale and 15-20% off tickets (I forget exactly).

We are pretty fortunate, we live about 30 minutes from Baltimore so we get lots of shows and such. When we went to the circus, and it was bad...my DH was afraid to go back a few months later to see Princesses on ice because it was so dirty and the staff was awful. BUT it was no where near the same experience!! :cool1: We found out that the circus provided (contractors I assume) to work their shows, and Disney for the ice show...whoa major difference!

we are going tonight and I got tickets for $7.50 each.. we have a press pass due to having a subscription to our local paper so we got a discount that way

One of our local merchant circulars had a coupon for a savings on the tickets when we went in the spring...Clipper Magazine, which usually has restaurant coupons and comes in the mail monthly or so.

Funny, we went to the circus in Baltimore this spring and didn't have a bad time at all! It was long and I was a little bored at times, but my girls (2 and 4) were riveted and absolutely loved it! Food and such was far too pricey and not all that good...but the experience itself was a big thrill for my girls, who are counting on going again next year!

Just wanted to come back and post that we went to the circus last night and had a wonderful time! We had fun.. rather than drive, we took the train which dropped us about a block from where it was and then we walked back to the station afterwards and rode the train back which is about 5minutes from our house.. the only downside was that everything was so expensive... $10 for cotton candy:scared1: $3.25 for drinks:scared1: and $6 each for pizza :scared1: :scared1: .. there were 8 of us plus our grandbaby.. I made them share the cotton candys.. no way everyone was getting one of their own at that price..

Check if there is a group show for your area. I always take my preschool/kindergarten class and we pay $12/ticket. You need a certain number of people(10 I think), but you could find another family or two and order together. Order really early and you can get the close seats--we have been front row every year!

I loved the circus as a child. I got the presale code email a couple of days ago and asked DD9 and DD7 if they want to go. Although DD9 has never been to a circus, she said that she don't want to go because they treat their animals badly. :confused3 :confused3 . I am not sure where she has heard this!! She is a big animal lover and watches the animal and discovery channels all the time. I guess we have to skip it for now.

Disneypharm,
I thought it was interesting that you bring up that your DD didn't want to go to the circus because they treat their animals badly. I am an OSU student and just finished giving a presentation in one of my classes on how badly circuses treat their animals. I found that there is real truth to that unfortunately.:sad2: It seems that the Animal Welfare Act does not adequately protect them from horrid living conditions and abuse. I refuse to go to any circuses that have animal acts anymore. Instead I go to circuses like Cirque du Soleil that are animal-free.

Thank you for this information. As I mentioned, DD9 watches animal channel all the time. In addition, she reads lots of books and magazines (eg; National Geographic) on animals. So, she probably got the info from one of those places. Maybe, I'll take her to Cirque du Soleil instead.

We just went last night in Oakland. They sold opening night tickets for a reduced price. It allowed us to get a much better seat than I normally would've paid. It was $15 each but we were 5th row. My 3 year old especially loved it. It was Bellobration.
