Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

 & prayers for comfort sent to your friend.

The pool pics are adorable! Love the matching suits!

Brooklynn looks so proud to be tall enough to ride.
I love the pic with her and her two "body guards". I'm sure they kept her safe.

The girls are very lucky to have such a fun lovin Bubby! :goodvibes

I'll have to check out the blog and see what they are up to....:surfweb:

Jamie is so sweet to do this so you can feel part of thier lives. ;)

Trent and Jamie are going to have a great time with Wigd and Shocker tonight! Where are they headed to eat?

I think it is so cool that Disney provides NYE party favors! I am so easily impressed! :lmao:

I got a picture text from Jamie a while back and they were on the balcony of Wigd and Shockers villa looking out at the pool and river at the Boardwalk! They were going to Cape May for dinner :cool1: They've both been looking forward to it all week! I don't know how to put the picture on here or I would!

How fun!!! I can't wait to hear about the Cape May dinner -- that's one that we have never tried.

Awww.....they are such a cute couple, I hope they have a great dinner/ buffet at Cape May! :goodvibes

I bet the view from Wigd's balcony is beautiful!

I would love to sit there and soak it all in!

* I just looked at the blog, it's so funny.
I like how she decorated it.
I want those Disney EGGS!!!! Fabulous!

Whew! All caught up!

Jill and I feel very blessed to have all of our DIS buddies. :goodvibes

After about three more months, I will have some medical bills paid off, so that will help a little. Air Tran is going to start running flights from Huntsville in May, so Jill said we might be able to do some long weekend trips sometimes.

From the mom's side, it's a killer, but moms want what is best for their kids always, no matter what. I told him I might check in to working at WDW in the summers, now that I'll have place to stay. Not this year, but I'll check into it for next summer. They might hire teachers for summer positions.

I think it'll be a fun adventure for him. I think of that part as much as I can. It's just these initial goodbyes that are getting me.

Thanks. All the good thoughts are much appreciated. This time tomorrow it will all be over. Jill will be back in Huntsville and Trent will be in Orlando. We'll be together in thought, though. Nothing can break the close bond we have.

:goodvibes

Good news about AirTran, I hear they have cheap flights - take the money from your grocery budget and put it into an AirTran budget. :thumbsup2

You totally have to look into working at WDW in the summers! I'm sure they have summer temp jobs for their busy season. That would be great! :cool1:

Nope, nothing can. :grouphug:

Thank you all so much. There was laughter and there were tears this morning as he left. His buddies were here, and it brought me to tears watching those big old monsters hugging each other and crying man tears. Man tears are different. They don't flow easily, and they mean what they say. Those guys love each other. I think they're lucky to live in a time where communication and travel are very easy, and they will stay close.

I'll give you pictures in a little while. Right now I am just streaming tears. I am so excited for him, but I will miss him. I'm just processing all the interactions of the morning right now and hoping that he will be safe on the road. I hope that his job will bring him much happiness, because he loves what he does, and he is a hard worker.

The Disney part of Disney trips will always be second to being with my family. All of us being together there is what makes it most special. Being in an incredible place with the people I love most - that is heaven on earth for me.

I'll be back in a little while when I make more sense. :)

You made perfect sense and it was beautiful!

Anyway, that was our weekend so far. Now I'm Dising away, taking myself to my happy place, thinking about how fun it will be when we are all there again.

Miss Anita Wigd (Brooklynn's name for her) called me just a little bit ago and told me to get Brooklynn and my jar of peanut butter and come on down there now. She said it was beautiful and there was more room than she and Marc could need. They switched over from Pop to the Boardwalk this morning. She really meant it, being the sweet, sweet person that she is! I told her I'd have to take a raincheck, but one of these days Jill and I will take her up on it, because Jill really wants to stay there. Trent and Jamie will be hooking up with them at the end of the week.

Thank you all for your well wishes for Trent. I hope to come back and tell you about the wonderful times he is having!

How sweet of Miss Anita Wigd! When you asked me in your PM if I was meeting them I didn't know they were going to be there last weekend I thought it was just this week, but I haven't really "met" Miss Anita Wigd or Shocker yet...I need to make my way over to their TR's. :upsidedow

Can't wait to hear about them!

Thanks for all the hugs, thoughts, and prayers today guys! I don't think it has truly hit me since I am used to being away from Trent. I think it will hit the next time I'm up there and he isn't. However, Brooklynn was devastated in the car on the way home before she fell back to sleep. She started crying and in between sobs she said she didn't want her Bubby to go away. I don't think that she still fully grasps the concept that he is gone. That will probably come at the end of this week when she is hanging out with Mom and he's not there to swing her up in to the fan or smack her in the face as he walks by or just argue with her just to argue. It will definitely take some getting used to for her, but we will definitely be using Skype and visiting or meeting up as often as we can. 700 miles is not going to keep my girls from the Uncle Bubby they love so much!

Hey Jill! This made me sad...and made me laugh. It's bad to miss someone but even worse to see your child miss someone. One of Ramon's cousin's came to stay with us last summer and Miren was devastated when she left, too. We've been Skyping with her and it's been great! I hope Brooklynn is enjoying Skyping with her Bubby!

It's a good thing I am on spring break, because my sharing daughter shared her illness with me.

Only I got the deluxe version.

I know you are all feeling better now but :scared1: Man, this thing really is going around - we picked it up at WDW! Hope nobody else who's been there this week gets to take it home as an unwelcomed souvenier! :crazy2:

I'm going to see if this link works. These are the girls pictures

If the link doesn't work just pm me and I'll send you the info.

So for anyone who wants to follow Trent and Jamie and their Orlando adventures this is their blog: Two Silly Gooses in Florida

Thanks for the links! Trent and Jamie's blog is cute. The link to the girls' pics didn't work but I think it may be something on my end - I'll have Ramon look at it and if it still doesn't work I'll PM you. I did see the one on FB though...sooo adorable! The company looks like they do nice work though, that may be how they can justify that sitting fee.

I'm going to send you and MeMom a friend request on FB, if that's ok. :)

Jill will be an incredible aunt! ::yes::
She might spoil Trent's kids a little more than he wants her, too, and she will always know that breakfast does not mean sitting on the wall eating a granola bar and banana!

:rotfl:

Can't you just see how much her Bubby and Jarvis love her?!?!?!
IMG_6296.jpg

She loves riding the big rides.

IMG_6304.jpg

Yes!!

I love these pictures! :thumbsup2 for TT - Miren just rode it for the first time, also, this weekend.

I took a moment to take a picture with Brooklynn after breakfast.

I like these, too!

Sorry this was a little long...but there was a lot going on here this weekend (and apparently I had something to say about ALL of it!) :rotfl2:

Tomorrow is Friday!! :yay:

We were at Epcot too for NYE and boy was it crowded!!!!! :crowded: I stayed for the fireworks, which were awesome, but DH and DS went back to the room! I know you guys left and went to the Poly beach.

I was just wondering if you all to online check in or wait til you get there?

We wait until we get there. It's kind of fun talking to the CMs at check-in, and we've never had to wait long.

In all my trips to Epcot I have never seen the Tomb Warriors. I will have to put that on my list for next time!

It is a very interesting story. ::yes::

those poor norwegians. very few people seem to be interested in the little movie at the end. i will admit to skipping it myself. :upsidedow

People are in a hurry to get to the next ride/attraction. It's a good movie, though, with beautiful scenery. We usually don't stop, but we've seen it a few times.

Memom---I think Caleb has your virus! LOL! My SIL took the day off (She has 4 personal days she has to use by the end of the school year) to keep Caleb and her daughter while my MIL was at a funeral. Caleb was really fussy and clingy to me when I dropped him off but we just thought he was teething pretty good. And he is never clingy...he barely notices mommy leaves in the morining...he is too busy playing with his cousin. SIL called me about 3pm to say he had gotten sick and was running 102 temp. So we are now at home...he is sitting in his chair and watching handy manny but is not moving too much...but "knock on wood" hopefully nothing else comes up! This is his first time getting the stomach flu. poor baby!

Sorry to hear that. I hope he got Jill's super short version!

You know it's busy if Living With the Land has a wait! That's kind of what the waits looked like one of the days we were there.

I've never seen the movie after Maelstrom, either. I tend to get so irritated with the way you can only exit the ride through the theater that I just zoom right through. :rotfl:

I love that they had hats and horns available. I know my family would have snagged some!

Maybe it's just older people who appreciate the movies, but I like them. :)
Could be the teacher in me, but I like seeing other countries and their customs.

We weren't in a park in the evening, so we missed out.

Brooklynn thinks she bigger and 'growner' than she really is a lot of the time.

Jamie seems like a very sweet girl. :)

I think it is so cool that Disney provides NYE party favors! I am so easily impressed! :lmao:

She had three ADRs, because they didn't know what time Trent was going to be back from Tampa. They ended up at Cape May.

I wish I had gotten some party favors. I bring home Disney napkins, so I'm easily amused, as well. :upsidedow

They said the villa was incredible. I told him he better remember we have a Pop pocketbook, so he better not get a Boardwalk taste.

I forwarded the picture to Jill, but she's not sure how to get it on here, either.

How fun!!! I can't wait to hear about the Cape May dinner -- that's one that we have never tried.

It was reported that there was much laughter.

Tomorrow is Friday!! :yay:

That's okay. We're glad you felt at home enough to want to catch up. :)
You can most assuredly friend us on FB.

I'll be checking into that summer situation during this summer. I can see myself at Rafiki's Planet Watch or at a Kidcot Station in Epcot.

Glad my ramblings made some kind of sense.

Congratulations to Miren on the first Test Track ride! :cool1:

i showed those pics of brooklynn on TT to ray last night and he had a really good laugh. tell brooklynn she's a star even to non-dissers! :goodvibes

I don't think I've looked very closely in China before because your pictures are all new to me. Hopefully I'll get a chance to explore more on my January trip. :thumbsup2

Happy Friday, MeMom! :goodvibes

Good morning back to you!
Hope you have a good weekend planned.

It is very educational for homeschooling. :)

Conversation with Brooklynn this morning as we were playing tent/camp out.

From under the blanket (our tent).

Me: So what are we going to do on our camping trip? Roast hot dogs? Look out for bears?

B: Yeah, and when I jump into the sea...

Me: Why would you jump into the sea on a camping trip?

B: Because I'm Little Mermaid.

Me: :rotfl:

Then, this darling, very GRANDchild of mine wants to shut us completely into the tent to keep away from the bears.
No open spaces! :scared1:

I opened a place so I could stick my head out, and she said the bears would bite my head off. It's okay, suffocation or bear-bitten head, either way, I'm gonna die, right? :upsidedow

Your morning with Brooklyn sounds like fun. Are you all on Spring Break this week? Abby is and my sweet mother-in-law is watching her for us. They went to the Nashville Zoo yesterday and said it was fun but very crowded. First day of sunshine in a long time, so I imagine everyone was wanting to get out.

I love the Disney eggs at Publix, too. When we lived in FL that is the only place we shopped so got them often. Kroger is more convenient to us now, but they are building a Publix .5 miles from our house - whoo hoo. Jamie's website is so cute. They sure do make a cute couple.

"Because I'm little Mermaid" :rotfl2: She is so cute! I love her imagination!

One day, Brooklynn will understand her MeMom's dislike of closed spaces and probably laugh and feel bad about shutting you up to keep away the bears. Right now, she probably thinks she's protecting you!

Trent told me he wished there was a Kroger in Orlando. He thinks Publix is too expensive :) I told Jamie to tell him about the buy one/get one deals that come out every week, and the Publix Promise (if it rings up the wrong price they give it to you free) I'm just glad one of them looks at prices :thumbsup2

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: I love little kids and their conversations.

Yeah, see, that whole threat of having my head bitten off by a bear is what turns me off of camping.

I managed to get a picture off the blog (I think), sounds like they had a great time and I can't wait to hear the stories tonight :goodvibes

Trent, Wigd and Jamie on the balcony at the Boardwalk.

Memom,

I am glad that you and Brooklynn are having fun together this morning. I hope you both are able to avoid any bear attacks.

The bear bite would have been quick and painless!

I'll bet Brooklynn is loving her special time with you!
Has Bella been looking for sissy?

How has this Friday come so fast???
