Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Love the shopping picutes...only 1 more week and then I can get my shop on!!

Jill, both of your daughters have the most beautiful and infectious smiles.

Bernadetta Fife...I love it! :rotfl: That's crazy that she would be so rigid.

I'll be back after dinner for replies, but I thought you guys might like to know that Jill put up a bunch of trip pictures on her Facebook, if you want to take a peek.

OOH Sorry about the guard at SSR...I've never had a problem getting in to a gated resort before that is too funny (well its now..I'm sure it wasn't that amusing at the time)!!

Another great update!

ADR's make it very real. :)

Hope you've had a good day with the little guys!

::yes:: ADR's definitely make it real! We're on the 7 day dining plan so I booked 7 table service meals. 1900 Park Fare, Coral Reef(First time at those two!), Chef Mickey's, Tusker House, Liberty Tavern, Crystal Palace, and 50's Prime Time Cafe. We're gonna eat at Whispering Canyon Cafe at least once and pay out of pocket for it.

I had a great day with Caleb! I don't see him very often(He lives a few hours from here) so I was excited! I didn't get to see Kazin unfortunately :sad2: But he only lives about a half hour away so I see him more. He's my little buddy :) His birthday is coming up in a few days so I'll probably see him some time next week. He'll be a year old on the 20th!

Brooklynn fully knows what it means now when we say we are going to Disney World. She and Jill get terribly excited. I have to keep them calmed down. :rolleyes1

I'm in need of a twelve step program when it comes to Disney. I am addicted, and I lose all sense of logical reasoning. :)

The guard lady insisted on knowing the exact room we were going to. She said she had to know that so she could tell us where to go. In the end, when we finally were allowed in, she never even told us how to get to that exact room, so the whole thing was pointless.

Oh My goodness. While we were driving down, my 2 friends kept making fun of me as I was getting overly excited. I can't remember what it was when we got there but I actually squeaked in excitement.:rotfl2: It may have been seeing EPCOT all decked out for the holidays, heck it may have been seeing the bus come to pick us up to go to EPCOT.:lmao:

Well anyway, 1 week back and THEY can't stop talking about it. I preordered the Photopass as a holiday/first trip present for them as well as me so we could have pictures of all of us and as I sent them the link she said all she could do was smile as she remembered the trip through the pictures.
I HAVE DONE MY JOB- I believe we have new Disney Lovers!!!

As for the security guard, I had to show ID both At All Stars and the Coronado. Being this was the first time I ever drove I never gave it a second thought.
Neither gave us the third degree and after a hard 10 1/2 hours drive down ( darn SC traffic) I was even a bit flustered just to get my ID out, it might have gotten ugly if I was given the 3rd degree.
However, the premise of giving directions and not giving them... maybe you confused her in the end.:rotfl2:
That's why she is not guarding the White House or working for TSA. However both those jobs have seen their share of people not fit to guard Saratoga Spring recently:rotfl:.

Looks like a great mini DIS meet at the mall. Sorry to see the store is closing. :sad1:

It was. Hopefully, there will be many more meets at the mall. I wish we could find a good middle point for all of us to meer up, but man, some of you guys are very far away!

Oh poor Barnetta Fife, she's going to give herself a heart attack if she continues to take her job so darn seriously. ;)

Great start to the trip! The girlies look so happy to be there! :)

And yes, thank God for inventing portable dvd players. Huge lifesavers!

Brooklynn was ready to meet Tiana on this trip, so she was extremely excited.

She'd watch a movie, then sleep a while. It was perfect.

What a sweet memory at the start of your vacation for you and Brooklynn. Love that she was too excited to sleep and wanted to sleep on the floor by you with all of her little friends.:cloud9:

Great start to the trip report! Brooklynn looks like she is in her element shopping at Disney!

I had to move some of her friends to make a spot on the comforter for myself.

Brooklynn has become quite the conversationalist when shopping. She points to things and says, "I don't have one of those." I think that is my cue to purchase it for her. :goodvibes

Buffalo NY to Louisville KY-535 mi – about 8 hours 17 mins...

Not sure I can convince Patrick to make that drive :-(

/
That is SO FUNNY about Brooklynn and the apples from Cracker Barrel!!!

I'd recommend coming in the fall. It's beautiful weather here and not humid....or freezing cold with snow and ice! Unfortunately, fall is often very short here. Just a couple months.

If you do ever make it up here, I will be there greeting you! We could take the kids on the rides at Nick Universe and shop, shop, shop!

766 miles. 12 hours 24 minutes.

Not that bad really considering we are planning to drive to St. Louis, MO this summer....KY is just an hour more. :scratchin

Henry was looking with me at this update. He saw Brooklynn and said her name. Then he saw Bella and asked who she was, so I said "Bella" he repeated it. Then he saw the baby doll and said "More Bella." :goodvibes

:rotfl2: Oh goodness! What an ordeal at SSR!! I cannot recall them checking ANY ID for the one time I drove at SSR!

I didn't realize you were that far away! What are your dates for being in St. Louis?

I truly do have plans to make it to Mall of America someday. When that will be, who knows?

Henry was sort of right about 'more Bella', since she's about the size of a little baby doll!

Just catching up and loving it so far! Bella and Brooklyn are sooo cute - I think Brooklyn looks just like her dad and Bella sure looks like mom.

MeMom - you asked about our pipes that we use up here so that they don't freeze - apparently yes things are done quite differently here in order to avoid that. And I guess we just don't really know the weather to be any different than what we get every year. We always have one or two reallllllly cold stretches in the winter that makes -10C (14 F) seen downright balmy.

Anyway, enough about the weather - I am making myself depressed. Now I need to read some more DIS to cheer myself up:laughing:

Looking forward to some more of the report.

I think we are in the clear, because our daytime highs are rising, but the nights are still in the teens. I am running them overnight one more night, ad then we should be okay. Fingers crossed, prayers said, and anything else than helps, because I do not need a pipe bursting issue right now.

Oh yay, you started! The girls have grown so much since July. I can tell Bella is very excited to go back to Disney and of course Brooklynn as well. The pictures at the welcome center are too cute. I love that baby doll had to get in the action too.
The story of the security guard is too funny. I know it wasn't humorous at the time but I'm sure you can go back and laugh at it now. How nice of Wigd and her crew to give you their supplies.
What are your dates for June? I just found out the day we're going in June.:woohoo: We'll be there from the 17th-21st for father's day. Just a short little trip but we'll have fun and I won't need therapy until December.:thumbsup2

We're leaving on the 30th, but we won't be at Pop until midnight. OUr flight arrives at around 11. We probably should have just waited for the 6 a.m. July 1 flight and saved the night's resort bill, but at least this way we'll be there, can get a good night's sleep, and be ready for a full day on the 1st. Even if the others sleep in, and they will, I can get up and get somewhere to start my wandering around/picture-taking excursions bright and early. :)

Bernadetta Fife...I love it! :rotfl: That's crazy that she would be so rigid.

One more week - that's very exciting! Have you 'talked' with Leslie and Jen about maybe meeting?

Thanks for the compliments on Jill's girls. :goodvibes

Another great update!

I hope you girls don't look quite as frightening as we did when you get there!

We weren't mad or anything, but it was just frustrating, and I was worried about wigd's family who was standing at a bus stop waiting on us all that time!

I've done all the same ones you have, and Jill and I are going to take just Brooklynn to 1900 Park Fare for a big girl treat this summer. We have not done Coral Reef.

I don't see the girls as much as I'd like, either. If I lived on the other side of Nashville, it would be only about one hour for me to run and see them, but as it is, it pretty much has to be done on weekends.

I look forward to a birthday picture soon. :)

My friends just know that if the talk is Disney, I'm going to be smiling pretty big. :)

I'm glad you've converted some people. But, does that mean they're going to start bring people and our lines are going to get longer? Maybe we shoudl keep Disney World a secret! ;)

We should have thought about central DIS meet locations when we all purchased our homes!

Maybe we'll have to have a southern meet and a northern meet.

Or, we could all just be in WDW at the same time. :cool1:

Erica and stasieki are within a week or so of each other, I think.

I don't think I realized this either! Sorry about that!!

CONGRATS!!! :goodvibes When is your due date?? Mine is April 23rd and we are having a BOY!!! I can't WAIT!!!!

I actually checked the distance to Louisville, too. I wish my family out in Ohio lived closer to there, that would be perfect.

I said the same on LL and Jen's report -- Katie and I started a joint PTR/TR for our two trips last night (figuring if there's 2 of us working on it it wouldn't be moved for lack of updating. ) The link is in our signatures!

I think she told us March 30th. She's having a girl. Nashville Dis meets are going to get more and more fun!

That was Brooklynn, Bella, Margot, Abby, Ellie, and ??? (whatever your baby's name is going to be). He is going to have his work cut out for him with all those little girls running around trying to mother him.

Everybody just needs to draw a five hour circle from a pinpoint of their location and see where we overlap. :goodvibes

I didn't realize some of you guys
were so, so far up there in the frozen north!

Well I'm hoping that we move to Celebration when I finish school next year, so we may just have to wait and meet you then. I would be happy to give up my northern (frozen!) home and move to a southern (hopefully warmer) one!
I'm ready for those 50 degree temperatures.

Cool Springs is good for us, too. We'll probably do that maybe in May after you girls have your babies. What do you think about that?
A May meet at Cool Springs with the new babies would be so much fun. I know it is early, but count us in:cool1:

Erica and stasieki are within a week or so of each other, I think.

That's me:) - I am due March 30th and live in Murfreesboro. Not sure Erica's due date, but I think real close to mine. I am absent-minded, but Erica lives in Nashville, right? And Punkin413, are you are in Atlanta? That is where I grew up and all my family still lives (grew up in Roswell)? Sorry for all the questions - I am just having a pregnancy moment where I have forgotten everything.

I am due March 30th and having a girl (we have a soon to be 4 year old girl). I already posted so you may have replied already, but are you in Nashville? I am in Murfreesboro.

Congrats to all the pregnant mommies! VandyFan-Im due in 3 weeks with a boy but April 23rd is my birthday!!! yay!!!!! Its a great day for a birthday :thumbsup2 Also William Shakespeare's BDay :)

That would certainly be a difference in temperatures!
We will definitely come to see you if you live in Celebration. We've talked about visiting there before, but that's just another thing we have talked about but never follwed through on.

I'll be happy to see the 50's. Maybe after tonight I won't have to run the water all night.

We'll keep our sights set on a May meet.

Erica lives near Nashville. Dawn used to live close to where I live now. They sort of discovered they had the Vandy/Nashville area connection when they were talking on one of our reports a couple of years ago.

Congrats to all the pregnant mommies! VandyFan-Im due in 3 weeks with a boy but April 23rd is my birthday!!! yay!!!!! Its a great day for a birthday :thumbsup2 Also William Shakespeare's BDay :)

Yes, best wishes to all the new mommies, first-timers or already broken in!

Once again I got pages behind!! Jill I love the pics for the intro:thumbsup2 You can tell that Brooklynn just loves her baby sister in all the pics. Love all the shopping pics MeMom. What a crazy time at SSR!!:confused3

Mic N Min-I believe we will be at Disney at the same time!! We get in on 4/30 to 5/7.

Cannot wait for more TR!!

Hi, friends! Hope y'all are a bit warmer tonight!

It's shocking how cold it's been down South.........I know you are wishing for more normal temps!

I'm sorry your Disney Store is closing too, it was so nice that you could have the DIS meet before it's gone.
:woohoo: for 40% off!

I love the videos you keep adding. They are so fun to watch! :thumbsup2

I checked to see how far I am from Louisville....14+ hours....I could easily do that in a day. Maybe an option in the future. :)

I'm so thrilled to see the TR pics have begun and they are great!

Brooklynn and Lexi share in a love of stuffed animals.

I'm joining in the :worship: for portable DVD players!

Yumm...Florida welcome center juice!
(Funny I noticed the Mystery Van too! :rotfl:)

:yay: YES!!!! SHOPPING PICS GALORE!!!!! :yay:

I pray that Punkin get's to add her own baby to the list soon! ;)

I laughed so hard at Brooklynn's comment about the "apples", she is just so cute!

:goodvibes to all...and to all a good night!
