That is SO FUNNY about Brooklynn and the apples from Cracker Barrel!!!
I'd recommend coming in the fall. It's beautiful weather here and not humid....or freezing cold with snow and ice! Unfortunately, fall is often
very short here. Just a couple months.
If you do ever make it up here, I will be there greeting you! We could take the kids on the rides at Nick Universe and shop, shop, shop!
766 miles. 12 hours 24 minutes.
Not that bad really considering we are planning to drive to St. Louis, MO this summer....KY is just an hour more.
Henry was looking with me at this update. He saw Brooklynn and said her name. Then he saw Bella and asked who she was, so I said "Bella" he repeated it. Then he saw the baby doll and said "More Bella."

Oh goodness! What an ordeal at SSR!! I cannot recall them checking ANY ID for the one time I drove at SSR!
I didn't realize you were that far away! What are your dates for being in St. Louis?
I truly do have plans to make it to Mall of America someday. When that will be, who knows?
Henry was sort of right about 'more Bella', since she's about the size of a little baby doll!
Just catching up and loving it so far! Bella and Brooklyn are sooo cute - I think Brooklyn looks just like her dad and Bella sure looks like mom.
MeMom - you asked about our pipes that we use up here so that they don't freeze - apparently yes things are done quite differently here in order to avoid that. And I guess we just don't really know the weather to be any different than what we get every year. We always have one or two reallllllly cold stretches in the winter that makes -10C (14 F) seen downright balmy.
Anyway, enough about the weather - I am making myself depressed. Now I need to read some more DIS to cheer myself up
Looking forward to some more of the report.
I think we are in the clear, because our daytime highs are rising, but the nights are still in the teens. I am running them overnight one more night, ad then we should be okay. Fingers crossed, prayers said, and anything else than helps, because I do not need a pipe bursting issue right now.
Oh yay, you started! The girls have grown so much since July. I can tell Bella is very excited to go back to Disney and of course Brooklynn as well. The pictures at the welcome center are too cute. I love that baby doll had to get in the action too.

The story of the security guard is too funny. I know it wasn't humorous at the time but I'm sure you can go back and laugh at it now. How nice of Wigd and her crew to give you their supplies.
What are your dates for June? I just found out the day we're going in June.

We'll be there from the 17th-21st for father's day. Just a short little trip but we'll have fun and I won't need therapy until December.
We're leaving on the 30th, but we won't be at Pop until midnight. OUr flight arrives at around 11. We probably should have just waited for the 6 a.m. July 1 flight and saved the night's resort bill, but at least this way we'll be there, can get a good night's sleep, and be ready for a full day on the 1st. Even if the others sleep in, and they will, I can get up and get somewhere to start my wandering around/picture-taking excursions bright and early.
Love the shopping picutes...only 1 more week and then I can get my shop on!!
Jill, both of your daughters have the most beautiful and infectious smiles.
Bernadetta Fife...I love it!

That's crazy that she would be so rigid.
One more week - that's very exciting! Have you 'talked' with Leslie and Jen about maybe meeting?
Thanks for the compliments on Jill's girls.
OOH Sorry about the guard at SSR...I've never had a problem getting in to a gated resort before that is too funny (well its now..I'm sure it wasn't that amusing at the time)!!
Another great update!
I hope you girls don't look quite as frightening as we did when you get there!
We weren't mad or anything, but it was just frustrating, and I was worried about
wigd's family who was standing at a bus stop waiting on us all that time!

ADR's definitely make it real! We're on the 7 day dining plan so I booked 7 table service meals. 1900 Park Fare, Coral Reef(First time at those two!), Chef Mickey's, Tusker House, Liberty Tavern, Crystal Palace, and 50's Prime Time Cafe. We're gonna eat at Whispering Canyon Cafe at least once and pay out of pocket for it.
I had a great day with Caleb! I don't see him very often(He lives a few hours from here) so I was excited! I didn't get to see Kazin unfortunately

But he only lives about a half hour away so I see him more. He's my little buddy

His birthday is coming up in a few days so I'll probably see him some time next week. He'll be a year old on the 20th!
I've done all the same ones you have, and Jill and I are going to take just Brooklynn to 1900 Park Fare for a big girl treat this summer. We have not done Coral Reef.
I don't see the girls as much as I'd like, either. If I lived on the other side of Nashville, it would be only about one hour for me to run and see them, but as it is, it pretty much has to be done on weekends.
I look forward to a birthday picture soon.
Oh My goodness. While we were driving down, my 2 friends kept making fun of me as I was getting overly excited. I can't remember what it was when we got there but I actually squeaked in excitement.

It may have been seeing EPCOT all decked out for the holidays, heck it may have been seeing the bus come to pick us up to go to EPCOT.
Well anyway, 1 week back and THEY can't stop talking about it. I preordered the Photopass as a holiday/first trip present for them as well as me so we could have pictures of all of us and as I sent them the link she said all she could do was smile as she remembered the trip through the pictures.
I HAVE DONE MY JOB- I believe we have new Disney Lovers!!!
As for the security guard, I had to show ID both At All Stars and the Coronado. Being this was the first time I ever drove I never gave it a second thought.
Neither gave us the third degree and after a hard 10 1/2 hours drive down ( darn SC traffic) I was even a bit flustered just to get my ID out, it might have gotten ugly if I was given the 3rd degree.
However, the premise of giving directions and not giving them... maybe you confused her in the end.
That's why she is not guarding the White House or working for TSA. However both those jobs have seen their share of people not fit to guard Saratoga Spring recently

.
My friends just know that if the talk is Disney, I'm going to be smiling pretty big.
I'm glad you've converted some people. But, does that mean they're going to start bring people and our lines are going to get longer? Maybe we shoudl keep Disney World a secret!
