Do I receive an immediate allotment of points at the time of closing?

And then another allotment of points in July?

How are dues/fees computed for the first year?

Yes, you would get the 2000 points which would have to be used or banked into 2001, plus you would receive a new allotment of points in July of 2001. It makes that first year really a value! We did this 4+ years ago and really enjoyed what seemed like bonus points to us.

We just bought Jan. 29 and got Sept. as our use year. You are correct that we got our points for this year and then more in Sept. We are not going to WDW until Dec., so we banked this years points and are planning on going twice next year with two great trips!

Dues are not related to use year. They are billed annually in January and would be prorated from the date of purchase. So, you will get the July,2000 allotment of points and the 2001 allotment this summer, but dues will be based on your Feb purchase- so you'll pay 10+ months of dues. Enjoy!
