Shell those suckers before you stuff the box. I am thinking 5-6 pounds of crab and 400-500 clams.

It WAS channel three, the information channel at the resortsHi, on another post someone mentioned channel 31 I think it is, so I'd try that oneI've not checked yet to see what's on so apologies if I'm wrong.
So are you thinking you would stay if it were to happen again?HOPE EVERYONE IS WELL AND SAFE! I was supposed to stay at The Poly last Friday-Wednesday. Two studios, one occupied by friends from St. Augustine, Fl. They canceled and evacuated. I was going to stay with them the Wednesday-Friday before, so the day before my flight I booked a studio at Saratoga Springs for those nights (I'm a DVC owner at both). On Friday morning when it became clear Irma would impact central Florida, I booked a flight back to California for noon on Saturday. I transfered to SS from The Poly Friday morning. The Cast Members at the front desk were wonderful, especially Becky, who made sure my studio would be held until it was certain my flight wasn't canceled. She even stepped out from behind the desk to give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek when she saw how concerned I was. She gave me the number of the back office if The Poly so I could call during my layover and officially check out. I did.
So instead of five nights I stayed three days on property. While all the months of planning, ADRs, and Fast Passes went away it was great, but it was frightening watching the local news. The whole idea of an incoming hurricane permeated every moment of the trip. It made having a pina colada out by the pool on Friday absolutely surreal. I consider myself VERY fortunate that a truncated WDW trip was the only effects I felt from Hurricane Irma. The first day I was home my DVC Sales Guide called me to make sure I was safe (he was calling all clients he knew were there), which I thought was nice. Wouldn't do this again if another hurricane was possible though.
No I would not.So are you thinking you would stay if it were to happen again?
Oh sorry. But I'm sure that will make those that canceled their trip, or left early, feel better about their decision. No I would not.
I feel you made a good decision, that I would of made too. Being told that this hurricane is going to be a nuclear hurricane, with tragic aftermath, no one is invinceable, not even Disney. If it would of stayed a category 4, these posts would be a whole lot different.Oh sorry. But I'm sure that will make those that canceled their trip, or left early, feel better about their decision.
Glad it worked it well for you!
... except my DD was terrified of Goofy when she was little!

Please post about your drive down. We're supposed to leave ATL on Friday to go to Ponte Vedra for a conference and truly dreading the drive! So good to read things are getting back to normal. We leave Thursday from Atlanta. My only concern now is making sure we can find gas.
At the end of the storm

The photographer got a lot of great shots during and after the storm. I looked at his Facebook and Instagram. I don't see the one with the rainbow though. I wonder if Disney employees asked him to delete his photos too.At the end of the stormView attachment 268970
Retired ATC who evacuated to a Value on Friday. Where are/were you working? Feel free to pm.I'll try to find the link. It's in one of my aviation forums (I'm a pilot and Air Traffic Controller). I know Tampa is expecting to be operating Tuesday or Wednesday.
