Riding in a skirt?

Not a fan of roller coasters, so barring those, are there any rides that would be an issue to tackle in a long skirt?

Nope. I've ridden tons of rides in them. You just have to be careful and pick your skirt up like a princess when getting on and off. I've ridden all coasters (except the water coasters) in both short and long skirts.

Goofy's Barnstormer was a bit of a challenge since you kind of climb down into the car. Small World and Space Mountain, too, though not so bad. Very manageable, but I recall needing extra care on those.

I did add bike shorts to the outfit to make sure I didn't flash anyone.

Considering this option; did you feel hotter wearing them?

I use the cotton biker shorts and wear a dress on at least half our vacation days, if not more, but always with shorts under. They are actually cooler than wearing denim shorts with a t shirt. Try stick with a light cotton and you'll be fine.

I wear golf skirts the majority of the time. They have built in shorts, zipper pockets, and 3 of them that I have are very fast drying. I've never had a problem on any ride in them. I highly recommend them!

I just wore my skirts/dresses with boy short underwear that was light weight. I never felt like I was flashing anyone, but maybe I did and didn't notice!

I agree that denim shorts are the worst idea. I packed some for our last trip and could not bring myself to wear them and this was October! I don't know what I was thinking! Compared to a breezy skirt or even cotton shorts the denim just seemed like torture.

I was wondering this also I leave in 1 week !! And I do not wear shorts at all! I wear capris and dresses :-) and I plan on bringing almost all dresses i will be much cooler in them and that is what I prefer to wear!! Glad to hear I shouldn't have much of an issue wearing them :-). Thanks

These are the best!!! They call them skorts. They are sooooo comfortable!!!

Long skirts are fine, I've been using summer dresses and long skirts in the park and never had a problem with any rides.

Go with the Under Armor Heat Gear type shorts that pull sweat away from your body.

I work outside and wear the underwear and under shirts during the summer. Love them.

I wore the newish Jockey skimmies. They were awesome and lighter and breezier and more comfortable than I ever expected. Planning to bring more skirts/dresses next time because of them.

LONG skirts may pose more of a problem with rides that you have to step down into, but maybe it's just that I'm clumsy and picture myself tripping and toppling into the ride vehicle head-first. I've wore knee length skirts and dresses to the world with athletic shorts underneath and never had a problem.

I had a problem getting on Space Mountain because it's awkward going down and kind of spreading your legs to get in the seat properly. Pretty sure I flashed people in line (was wearing a knee length cotton dress). With a long skirt, I'd be more worried about tripping. Other than that I've never had a problem!!
