Rides you don't exactly like

Can't stand the Dumbo ride (although I ride it w/ dds). It scares me! I hate that similar one with the rockets. I also don't like the teacups.

I walked away from that attraction asking, "what the crap?"

I really did not like Astro Obiter. My DH is tall & him & I could not fit in one together without having his knees almost up to his chin!

My son seemed to like it though so maybe we will go on it or maybe I will just send up DH with son ;)

Another 'ride' I did not care for was Alein Encounter. Why???? Because I found it REALLY BORING!!!! Honestly, it really wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I still would not bring any child younger then 8 on there (maybe older depending on the child) but it just didn't 'scare the pants off me" which is what I was expecting.

I don't like Tower of Terror because I'm a huge chicken and thought I was going to die the one time I did do it. However, I think everyone should do it at least once because it is a fantastic experience (I could appreciate that even when hyperventilating). Also, we always do It's a Small World which I find boring but we do it in memory of my father who passed away in 1982. It was his favorite ride but I can't figure out why. Maybe he was joking and now when I do it he gets a laugh when looking down at us. Picture a 6 foot three man, bald head, huge muscles who loves roller coasters and THIS was his favorite? Why couldn't it have been Haunted Mansion?lol:)

I know this is strange but I can't make myself ride Space Mountain after riding it when I was young. I'll do R&R, ToT, & all the rest, but on Space, I just remember feeling like I was going to fall out or bang my head on the support beams when the cars would bank. I just can't seem to make myself get back on it to this day. I even told my DGD8 I would ride it with her this last time & couldn't do it. I think if I'd just do it, I could get over it, but getting back on after all these years.

I won't do Alien either.

Universe of Energy - an ironic name since it is so boring, I fall asleep.

One ride we have never done is the Indy Speedway. It seems that this ride is one you come across at many amusement parks, so we have never bothered.

I'm not excited about Tower of Terror, and perhaps will never get around to it, unless DS6 forces me to before he's old enough to ride it himself.

I had to force myself to try Rock'n'Roller, but loved it!

I can't figure out how to get on Astro Orbiters. Probably a self-defense mechanism, as I don't really want to get on it. I like TTA better anyway.

Everything else is OK!

jaysue, you're *supposed* to duck at the end of Dinosaur! If you don't, that sucker will bite your head clean off. (Just grownups, kids are safe! ;) )

Won't do Space Mountain, R&R Coaster, Or BTTMR - can you see a theme here? - Don't like coasters, although I enjoy Splash.

Attraction I go on, though I don't know why, (family drag me on) is Honey I Shrunk the Kids - just can't bear to watch the mice multiplying, and freak out with the 'mice running around the feet' effect. Last time I managed to grab the wire that comes from under the seat, so it couldn't tickle my ankles! That helped a bit.

Ann.

Sorry - should the above be "Honey I Shrunk the Audience?"

Ann.

Universe of Energy @ Epcot (way too long), Alien Encounter @ MK (I just don't get it) Splash Mountain @MK (don't like the drop)
Will go on Indy Cars, Bodywars (if it is important to someone we are with-- but don't if it's just me and DH)

The only ones I've been on that I would not go on again are Alien Encounter & Space Mountain. I still haven't tried Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Aerosmith Coaster & Tower of Terror due to chickening out. Those would probably a one time only ride for me.

I HATE Dinosaur. Scares me to death. I have a thing about dinosaurs I guess. I still go on though because DH likes it, I just happen to keep my eyes closed for almost the whole ride. One time I did keep my eyes open and I looked like :earseek: after I got off.

Universe of Engergy is BORING so that gets skipped.

Not a big fan of Body Wars or Star Wars (don't mind the motion, they need to be updated or something) but will do them once in a while.

Alien Encounters was just dumb to me, JMO, skipped it last year. We did Test Track as I had read so much about it on the boards. Neither my daughter or I cared for it... at the entrance-about a 1/2 wait (not bad), but we really weren't impressed with it.. We love the TOT, R&R, BTTMR!!!! Splash Mountain was good, first time I had been on it.. will go again!!

Jeanny

I think the only ride that doesn't belong at Disney World is the Indy Race Cars in TomorrowLand.

It doesn't fit w/ the TomorrowLand theme and you can ride a very similar ride at almost any local "park" throughout the US. I will never understand people waiting in line for this ride. This is a big area that could be replaced with something fresh!

Just my thoughts.... :D

I don't like, well I wouldn't say don't like, I'm SCARED of Tower of Terror. I have ridden it a few times but I don't make a habit of it.

I don't like Body Wars and absolutely will never ride it again because it made me sick. Literally.

Astro Orbiter - didn't enjoy it - kind of scared me believe it or not. Geez, I'm a whimp.

ATTRACTIONS I'LL DO EVEN THOUGH I DON'T REALLY LIKE THEM:

*Alien Encounter
*It's a Small World
*Snow White
*It's Tough to be a Bug (I'm terrified of spiders so I do get the creeps)

Oh, I do agree that the Indy cars don't belong in Tomorrowland. I think it's a waste of space but I guess kids love it.

PamNC

-Jungle Cruise (will ride it if others in my group want to though)
-Alien Encounter (fun the first time; kinda dull after that)
-Teacups (HUUUUUUUUUUUUURLLL!)
-It's a Small World (sorry to be bitter but someone please shoot me!)
-Tomorrowland Raceway (once you turn 16 it loses its luster)

There's others but generally speaking I just try to avoid areas like the Fantasyland area of MK since we don't have kids yet (my time will come when I'll once again have to endure some of those rides, hasn't been the same since they got rid of Mr. Toad.)

does Journey into imagination count. That is a disaster.IMHO.Igo on IASW when I have to accompanyDH

Rides that I won't do:

MK
Space Mountain
Alien Encounter
Thunder Mountain

EPCOT
Body Wars
Test Track

MGM
Star Tours
Rock n Roller Coaster
Tower of Terror

Animal Kingdom
Dinosaur

Rides that I don't really like but I go on out of tradition:

The River of Time in Mexico

I have never ridden Alien Encounter, because I believe you guys when you tell me how terrifying - I don't like terrifying.

I can't ride the Teacups, my kids seem to be masters at making me sick on this thing so I've just quit riding it (even my hubby said they got him last time).

I don't like Body Wars either, but like Star Tours just fine. What is the difference? It is looking at all that blood and stuff!

I ride Dumbo because it wouldn't be Disney without it, but Aladdin and the dino one in AK are the same thing and we all walk right past those.....

Everything else is fair game.

It's A Small World is kind of lame, but it is a nice, long, cool break so I will happily ride it just for that reason!

In the MK... the only ride I have never done and never plan on doing is the Teacups.

Alien Encounter does not impress me... it seemed very predictable.

I don't think there is any ride in Epcot or AK that I would purposely avoid although there are some I would not be heartbroken to miss.

In AK, Dinosaur also failed to impress. To me is was just... darkness, dinosaur, darkness, dinosaur... repeat until darkness, TRex.
