My son broke his arm. His cast is from his hand to just above his elbow.
Would there be any rides he would not be allowed on ?

Thanks

I know he wouldn't be allowed on Dueling Dragons with a cast and I imagine the other coasters...Hulk and ROTM would be out as well. I think he would fine on everything else.

Partially incorrect. Any coasters and other rides may STRONGLY ADVISE against riding, but the Final Decision is up to the rider. You, OP, will be able to get a merchandise bag from any of the stores--for free--to wrap up your son's cast before going on any water rides.

When DD was 14 she had a broken arm and the only ride they wouldn't let her on was DD. She rode Hulk with no problems and ROtM wasn't open yet.

Thanks for the replies. That first response sounded wrong.
I am glad I got some more replies.

Just to let you know...the "official" rule may be left up to the rider but today I saw a kid taken off the ride because he had an arm cast (this was a cast that ran from his wrist to his elbow). So...I guess it's up to the loading crew as to whether they will let someone ride with a cast.

BTW...this was on DD today. I waited 30 mins to ride today and I hope your son gets to ride when you come down. :thumbsup2

I broke my arm Saturday afternoon. Today, I'm going to the doc and ask for a waterproof cast. I don't ride coasters bit I love Popeye's!!!

A broken arm is more problematic than a broken leg on the rides. A cast on the arm is more apt to injure the person sitting beside you. I was under the impression that if you have a cast on your arm, you couldn't ride the coasters, not so much for your safety but because of the people sitting beside you.

Couldn't you just ride on the outside--on the side where your cast is not touching anyone? :confused3
It seems simple enough...

Our friend was told he couldnt ride DD. He had an arm cast at the time. I cant remember if that was the only ride or if there were others that day that he couldnt ride.

It just says: " CASTS OR BRACES Guests with casts or braces will be restricted from riding rides where the cast or brace may present a hazard to the guest or others. If in doubt about your ability to safely experience a ride, please consult with an attraction attendant or Guest Services for further information. "

My DD just got a cast on her broken arm Tuesday. We're going to US/IOA tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see what she'll be able to ride or not.

I was told this week that anyone with a cast can ride any ride, as long as the cast is either below the elbow or below the knee. My DD was able to ride everything she wanted to. So she had a great time, despite having the cast!:thumbsup2

We returned from our trip last night. I rode everything but the things that I never ride-dueling dragons, the hulk, and Dr Doom. I even rode Popeye after wrapping my cast with a poncho. None of the attendants gave me a second glance except to ask if I needed assistance. They were so much nicer at the Universal parks than at the mouse parks.
My cast is from my hand up to my shoulder.

Wow! That's great! Your right, nobody even noticed my DD's cast. I was only given info because i asked. Glad you had a good time, too!

Just got back. Rather than chance it my son wore something long sleeved
on the rides we were concerned with. He obviously had no problem but the
attendants had no way of knowing he wore a cast.

We did see someone ride Dueling Dragons with a leg cast from just below the
knee to her toes. She entered through the special needs line so the people
who work there knew of her cast and since she was in shorts there was no way to miss it.
