Rides that get better after dark?

I think one of our favorite things to do is ride Dumbo during the fireworks. Something about riding in an elephant, high in the sky, watching a million twinkling fireworks embers fall around the castle, gives us that 100% magical Disney feel. We end our trips that way.

Another vote for BTMRR during the fireworks. That is one of my all-time favorite Disney experiences.

Yeah anything you can ride or go around outdoors

I love People Mover at night and seeing all the lights of Tomorrow Land and there's always a great breeze. I had always read that BTMRR was better at night and two weeks ago I rode it for the first time at night. Whoa! I admit I'm a big baby when it comes to roller coasters and BTMRR is about as wild a ride as I'll try. During the day I was always fine and loved the ride. At night I was scared to death! It seems like it goes faster and I couldn't see where we were going and I couldn't wait for the ride to be over! I couldn't believe the difference between night and day.

We also did Jungle Cruise for the first time at night. Loved it!

I think TT is much better at night.

Space Mountain! oh wait. Hehe. But true. Something cramps my style when you come out of outer space into a hot bright sun...

Definitely 7DMT. Great ride at night. BTMRR too. But I won't ride 7D during day, BTM not too bad during the day.

I agree TT. Everest outta be interesting

My honey says TSMM. Ha-ha!

I have heard several people say this! pixiedust:

We lucked out and rode BTMRR the first time just as Wishes started. What an amazing experience! I would try to time that out if possible! We also love the Carpets, Dumbo, and definitely JC at night!

BTMRR. It just...feels faster at night. Clearly not true but it does in my head! I've also done it at night with a lightening storm. No rain, just lightening, and far away to not be a threat, but we could see it and it was eerie and so cool.

If you can ride the railroad during sunset, it's beautiful, especially the view of the Contemporary from the Main St Station. I also like the World Showcase after dark. Some of the hotels are just wonderful too, like the main building at Port Orleans Riverside.

I love ToT at night and EE, the lighting on both the mountain and the tower at night has got that mystical look and riding them at night just heighten the thrill!!

Dumbo, in the old location, during Wishes was insanely magical !

I was soooo close, but a tad too early last night :/ to catch the new location.
(Everything was running late due to weather, I wasn't trying to time it. The music started at the last 30 seconds of my flight)

I'm still going to answer the OP's question with EE, at night with the full fog/mist effects is the queue and on the mountain going !!!!!

I love Splash Mountain and Expedition Everest at night! absolutely magical!

We always have to ride astro orbiter at night, it is so cool! People mover is fun at night, as long as nobody falls asleep at 2AM! Lol

I love HM and of all thing the Swiss Family Tree House. My kids started the tree house climb years ago it's always empty late at night!

I've always liked the carousel at night myself. It's so pretty and magical. All of the new Casey's Circus area is pretty at night - and the Teacups are also beautiful. The Chinese lamps show up nicely and make the area really pretty. There is something to be said about wrapping up the day by taking a ride on the Tomorrowland Transportation Center with some snacks and watching the fireworks as you drive along.
