Here is my Pot Roast
1990.jpg

Note to self carrots on the pot roast. :faint:

:faint::faint::faint: Oh my, an update, and the one I've been anxious to read BEFORE I leave for my trip in 50 days. :lmao::lmao::lmao: I finally have a picture of some of the yumminess at 50's Prime Time (I'm definitely going with that fried chicken but will be slipping Mark those disgusting greens!).

Great update; sounds like you all had a good time and met some nice people too.

What? No pictures from Typhoon Lagoon?

Yeah! An update! :woohoo:

Looks like a fun dining experience at 50s. We have never been, but it looks fun. And what's even more fun, is having another DISer on the table next to you! :thumbsup2

Is that a first floor villa at OKW? Made me SOOOOOOOOOOOO homesick when I saw those pics - another 3 weeks to suffer until we will be back. ;)

That pot roast really does look yummy! So fun when everyone in the room gets into the action. I bet that made for a ton of laughs.

What a great view from your villa. I love OKW. So relaxing.

I think I would have sunk in the wave pool at TL after eating at Prime Time. OMG - that nasty dessert. :rotfl2: :faint:

I have to agree with Dan and Kathy -- thanks for skipping over the Typhoon Lagoon pictures. :rolleyes1

We really enjoy 50's PT. They don't have those sandwiches on the lunch menu anymore, though...they went to a single menu for both lunch and dinner to simplify things and omitted the sandwiches.

I've never seen them make a dessert with the leftover veggies like that. Blech! :rotfl2:

Happy 23rd Birthday Matthew. Stay safe, and God Bless.
Happy Birthday to Matthew!

and prayers for his safe journey and deployment :goodvibes
Happy Birthday to Matthew :cake: and well wishes for a safe deployment.
First Happy Birthday to Matthew !!
Thanks Ladies! (Yes Rosie, you too.......) Finally got an email from him yesterday and all seems to be going fairly well. Poor thing has so far had to endure seeing the Azores, a short stay in port in Spain, and is headed for Naples, Italy!!! Just like being at the World Showcase in Epcot..............:rotfl2:
Wow he has survived 23 years with Marv!!!:scared1::rotfl2:
Hard to believe isn’t it???? Of course, there has been some of that in the other direction too!!!! ;)
Next in England they celebrate the 4th on the 3rd :rotfl2: Just kidding:rotfl2:
:lmao: Those Brits.......optimists until the very end!!!
:lmao:Love you Rosie. :rotfl:
Yeah, that England joke was pretty funny!!!! :)
Couldn't resist!!!!:rotfl2:
Wouldn’t have it any other way....... :goodvibes
The insanity of life has slowed enough for me to catch up on a few TR's. (I see from the thread banter that life has been a bit crazy out your way as well.) Hope you get some time to pick up where you left off.

AND to make further use of those AP's!
Glad you had the chance to stop by GB!!!! I think things are a little crazy for everyone right now, so no problem. Did manage to squeeze in one more trip in October. Hopefully I will get those updates done before, well, October!!! :rolleyes1

Looks like you had a great experience at 50's PT !!! Can you believe that I did NOT get put in the corner , elbows and all!!:lmao:
I guess they figure some people it just wouldn’t be worth the effort................... :confused3

Besides, they’ve probably seen some of your TR pictures and figured why bother!!!
I need to go back to prime time.

I went years ago and did not have too much but we did have a little fun. Maybe the cm were not sure how far.to push us
Sure you didn’t have your whip out when you walked in that day??? :rolleyes1
You said Andrew got put in the corner. Why do I think you neglected to mention all the trouble you got in.
Me? Trouble??
looks like a fun lunch! we haven't eaten at 50's yet, maybe the next trip!

ok that "dessert" is gross! did they pile all the leftovers onto it :confused3 will make sure to eat all my veggies if we go :thumbsup2
50s PT is great fun............if you play!!! Do as many rude things as you can, like elbows on the table, or cell phone out texting, and then go with the flow when you get put in time out! Not really for the faint of heart or those who are easily embarrassed, but you can still watch others around you get in "trouble." Being from the South we LOVE the food!!! :goodvibes

Like I heard so many times as a boy, if you don’t finish your veggies, no dessert for you young man!!! :guilty: If you play and the server you have does also, anyone who doesn’t finish is typically either fed them by spoon, or they return to you as dessert..........whipped cream and m&s’s or sprinkles for good measure. But don’t worry, it is all in good fun!!! :rotfl2:
2 allies...i win i win.
Like you have FRIENDS around here................

Winning is soooo subjective these days!!! Might have a better chance convincing Glenn’s Rules Committee to issue you some points........ :rotfl:
the pot roast looks aweseome like always....have to try that place some time.

I love the pot roast, and pretty much everything else I’ve tried there! It had been a while since I had the pot roast so it was again time..........
thanks for making me wish it was closer to lunch time dude.
Happy to help!!!! :thumbsup2
Note to self carrots on the pot roast. :faint:
Pretty sure at least some of that green stuff on top is celery. Isn’t that on your list too??? Sounds like a double whammy for you!

The good news is the chef will come out and you can request changes. When I was there in October with Katharina and Magdalene they let Katharina sub out for things she could eat, so I’m sure they would leave off the celery and carrots for you if you ask. The pot roast is fantastic and fork tender, and since you could sub veggies that you can eat, you wouldn’t have to worry about the consequences of not finishing them............ (although I’m not sure fries count as a veggie........)
Yeah! An update! :woohoo:

Looks like a fun dining experience at 50s. We have never been, but it looks fun. And what's even more fun, is having another DISer on the table next to you! :thumbsup2
The food is wonderful and well worth the experience, but it can be a lot on a hot day so you may want to shoot for dinner depending on the time of year.

As for playing, make sure you know what to do to get the servers involved. I went with Magdalene and Katharina in October and played with the servers so they could enjoy the fun part. Last time they went they enjoyed the food, but the servers wouldn’t play. They figured it was because of their accent that the servers didn’t know if they would understand the “atmosphere” maybe; probably worried about offending them. No problem with Jonathan and me there.......... :rotfl2:
Is that a first floor villa at OKW? Made me SOOOOOOOOOOOO homesick when I saw those pics - another 3 weeks to suffer until we will be back. ;)
Actually, we were on the second floor! :woohoo: and can’t wait to hear about your next trip! I actually did follow along with your cruise TR much better than my lack of posts there would indicate...................

:rotfl2:
Glad to see you stop by Mary Ellen! The pot roast is definitely yummy and it was indeed lots of fun with everyone in the room joining in! You are probably right about the wave pool, which is why I spent most of my time on the lazy river. (And nooooo, I didn’t have to use two tubes for those of you who are thinking it!!!)

OKW is definitely a relaxing resort!

I tried to be timely with this update just for you my friend!!! :rolleyes1

Actually those greens are very good, and I almost never fail to finish them. But then I was raised on cooking like that!!! :goodvibes

It was a great time, and one of the more fun trips to 50s PT, and pretty cool the way it worked with the group beside me.
What? No pictures from Typhoon Lagoon?
What is funny is when I saw your posted response I didn’t want to respond before replying to all the other posts that were made BEFORE I did the update, so I waited until I had time. I was going to make a joke about a family board and not being allowed to post pictures of me in a Speedo...............and then Dan went there!!!! :rotfl:
seriously you might get marv in a speedo and that is a risk non of us want to see.:crazy2:
Yeah, that would go over about as well as some people flashing busloads of Disney guests who are brave enough to ride through the Wilderness Campground at night..........
Good point, Dan; I didn't think of that. :lmao::lmao:
:sad1:

Apparently it is on Dan’s mind...............maybe he has his own version of a shrine in the works......... :scratchin
thats why im here to catch what you ladies miss.:thumbsup2
That is really scary to know Dan.........:scared:
I have to agree with Dan and Kathy -- thanks for skipping over the Typhoon Lagoon pictures. :rolleyes1
I knew YOU would appreciate it after that speedo at the Kidani pool incident!!!!
We really enjoy 50's PT. They don't have those sandwiches on the lunch menu anymore, though...they went to a single menu for both lunch and dinner to simplify things and omitted the sandwiches.
I really hate that they removed the sandwiches. :sad2: When it is really hot and steamy those are often a better alternative for a lighter lunch. :thumbsup2
I've never seen them make a dessert with the leftover veggies like that. Blech! :rotfl2:
Saw it once before, but this was finally an opportunity to get a picture. :woohoo: They actually moved it over close to me so I could get a good shot!!! :goodvibes

Hey Marv! Just checking up on all the TR's I've missed in the last couple of weeks. Best wishes to Matthew on his deployment. Sorry I missed out on meeting up with you in SC.

Love the 50's PT Cafe. My favorite place to eat in DHS. So did anyone eat that "dessert"?

MARV!!! I hope all is well... :wave2:
Thanks Tim! Well, but still busy. This week we have to totally upgrade the Operating System software on the main computers for all three units! Today, Friday AND Saturday are going to be some looooonnnnnnngggggggg days!!! :scared: And that's if it all goes smoothly!!!! :rotfl2:
:goodvibes

i do what i do.
:thumbsup2
A man of many talents! Spelling, flashing, harrassing Rules Committees................... :lmao:

Mark, thanks for the best wishes for Matthew! So very sorry we couldn't get together this time, but with taking time off to send Matthew off and some very busy time at work still, it just wouldn't fit in the schedule! Hopefully we will make up for that real soon!!! :thumbsup2 Sounds like you had a great trip though, so wonderful to hear that!!!

No desserts were harmed in the taking of the picture at 50s PT!!! Well, not veggie desserts anyway.............:rotfl:

I tried to be timely with this update just for you my friend!!! :rolleyes1

:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Never been a veggie lover...especially green ones.

It was a great time, and one of the more fun trips to 50s PT, and pretty cool the way it worked with the group beside me.

Would love to see Mark put in the corner...and he'd play right along.

I literally spit out my drink when I read what Dan wrote.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm lovin' the hidden Mickey you found made with the wine bottles! I'll be sure to seek it out in my next visit! :thumbsup2
