I thought it would be a good idea to have a list of rides pregnant woment can't do then maybe we could have it as a sticky! I shall start by putting a few for each park

MAGIC KINGDOM
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain

EPCOT
Mission Space

DISNEY STUDIOS
Rockin rolling roller coaster
Tower of terror

ANIMAL KINGDOM
Expedition everest

I'd add Barn Stormer, Test Track and Dinosaur, Star Tours (Body Wars when its open) and possibly the Safari, all are pretty bumpy. And many of the waterslides at the pools and waterparks may be out too.

Great idea for a thread! I'll be pg on our next trip and I'm hoping that I won't be too limited.

Allears.net has the following rides listed as restricted for pregnant women (obtained from the signs at the parks):

Animal Kingdom: Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari, Primeval Whirl
Epcot: Body Wars, Maelstrom (listed as may wish to skip but not listed as shouldn't ride), Mission: SPACE, Test Track
Magic Kingdom: Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway
MGM Studios: Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Star Tours
Typhoon Lagoon: Crush 'n Gusher, Shark Reef (strongly discouraged)
TL & BB: all water slides are strongly discouraged against
Disney Quest: Buzz AstroBlasters, CyberSpace mountain, Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam, Battle for Buccaneer Gold, Virtual Jungle Cruise

I don't know if this was posted but the what to expect when expecting says no water slides.

Also maybe we could add tips for pregos in WDW. I'll be 6mos when we go next month;)

I've been to WDW twice while pregnant and there are still plenty of things you CAN ride but avoid Universal because there is hardly anything you can ride!

The biggest issue seemed to be with rides that had lap bars. Definitely avoid those.

I just went last month, at 4 months pregnant..I actually told my girls the day before we left I was pregnant...because I knew they'd be freaking out if I decided out of nowhere not to ride Tower of Terror~!
That is our FAVORITE ride...and it broke my heart not to ride it...but I read that would be the worst ride for Placenta Previa... so I refrained.
I thought about Expedition Everest... but..I stayed good and didn't ride anything I shouldnt....it's ok, I'll go back next yr :)

Just look at their signs...if they say "Expectant Mothers should not ride", there's usually a good reason...

Soarin was a nice escape :)

OOOOHHHH, We cN STILL DO sOARIN???:cool1:

OHh yeah..Soarin was great... I dont think I saw a sign saying we couldnt...
It's just a slight swinging motion... nuthing jerky or anything..it was great and relaxing... The only thing I'd be concerned about is if you were still in the 'morning sickness' phase....it might make ya naseous..lol

Just bumping :)
I'm wondering how I'll fit into the Fantasyland rides.. should I be worried about that? We have two little ones so DH would take one and I would need to take one.. I really hope I'll fit ok!

Depends how far along you are and how you are carrying but some of the Fantasyland rides have bars that may make the rides uncomfortable.

I am a larger woman (plus size) and when we went I was five months pregnant.I fit into the fantasy rides. I also rode the safari ride, and the Barnstormer ride. Pretty much anything except adult roller coasters and Tower of Terror. Anything that was iffy, I didn't go on. For the safari ride I asked which place was the least bumpy and did fine. Of course if you have any reasons not to ride, like previous miscarriage, etc, I'd do the better safe than sorry route.

To me if it was gentle enough for my 2 year old to go on I figured it was gentle enough for me ...although it sucked to not be able to ride Tower of Terror...My hormonal state made me totally teary!
