I have a question about the rides. I know there are height restrictions, etc. But what do you do with a child that is not old enough or tall enough to ride any of the rides? I don't want my son to sit in the stroller the whole time we are at DW. I think my daughter will be tall enough for our trip (crossing my fingers). Right now she measures 38" tall. My son measures 32" tall. We are not going until Feb. 2006. Any suggestions please let me know.

The 2 1/2 year can ride a lot of rides with a parent!
Virtually everything in Fantasyland, and lots in other sections too.

For example, say your husband and daughter were doing space mountain (she might be tall enough then), then you and your son could do the TTA.

The key is to scope out other attractions in the area where a height-restrictred ride is, and plan for it....

Our DD is 19 months old, and has probably experienced 75% of all rides at WDW

Will you have another adult with you?
If so, you can use baby swap for those rides which the little one is too little to ride.

There are cool play areas in MK, AK and MGM and fun fountains to chase and lots to see in Epcot

Yes, I will have my husband with me. I was thinking about invited my sister along so that we would have someone to ride with. I didn't think that Dillin would have that much to ride and do. Thank you very much. The play areas you are talking about...are they located on the park maps? I have the park maps and really didn't see anything on there about a playground, etc.

MK - Pretty much all of Fantasyland (not including Snow White). All of Toontown. Buzz, Speedway & TTA in Tommorrowland. Pirates if dark is ok, Magic Carpets, Jungle Cruise, Tom Sawyers Island, Country Bears Jamboree & Diamond Horshoe Review.

Epcot - Imagination, Land, Living Seas, Spaceship Earth, PLay area at the end of Misssion:Space & Cars at the end of Test Track. Lots of Fountains for playing in Futerworld. In World Showcase there's Rio De Tiempo in Mexico, Maelstrom in Norway, great Viking Ship playground in Norway. American Adventure & assorted Kidcot stops.

MGM - Playhouse Disney, Indiana Jones, Beauty & The Beast, Little Mermaid,Great playground at Honey I Shrunk the Kids....

AK - Triceratops Spin, Kilamajaro Safaris (?), Camp Minnie Mickey, Festival of the Lion King, Pochahantas, Tough to be a Bug (? due to dark) Conservation Station & Petting Zoo. Boneyard play area.

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head, that we are planning on for the Grandchildren in Dec. They will be 3.5 & 5 years old.

There is plenty to ride! Except for the big rides with hegiht restrictions (which are really a few, that your DS might not even want to ride at age 4, even if he is tall enough), you will all be able to ride most of the rides as a family! And there are so many shows, too. Not to woryy. You will enjoy!

Mine were exactly those ages when I went last September. My youngest had a great time even though there were a select few that he couldn't go on:TOT,BTMR,SM,etc. Every thing else he went on with his big brother and us, and he didn't complain once about his brother getting to go on other rides! Maybe I was lucky, though, because I could see where some kids would put up a stink!! :teeth:

Good luck,
K
