a ride that was scheduled to open at a certain date, but it actually opened sooner? Or do they stick to the schedule no matter what. (We are going when cinderella's carousel is going to be down and that's all my dd is talking about doing!) :(

Hi,

The schedule is usually pretty accurate. Sometimes attractions will reopen a little early or a little late.

My advice is: if the Disney website is saying the attraction will be down, assume it will be down. And if it reopens early, consider it a gift from the theme park gods!

We've never run into a situation where a scheduled rehab opened early. Especially if it's a major scheduled rehab. But you may get some pixie dust...you never know. I always check the rehab schedule and update DD so there are no major disappointments when we arrive.

Last trip we were able to do something a few days early. They called it a soft opening. It was around 3 days before it was scheduled to re-open.

Good luck!

We had it happen at DL in 2006. The Matterhorn was suppose to be closed until about a week after we left, however they opened it back up the last day we were there :cool1:.

I don't know if it was just a soft opening or if they got done early but I was really happy we got to ride it before we left.

When are you going? Where do you find this schedule?
TIA

When you say a little late, how little do you mean? The carousel is scheduled to close May 4-May 22 and we will be there June 9-June 16...could it run that late, or should we be ok?
TIA

Unless there are some major unforseeable problems, or they push back the start date for the refurbishment, you will be fine.
