What are the best rides to hit at park close to avoid long lines? I know ROTR is good and can be like 20 mins despite what is posted. Anyone tried this with Remy?

I feel like Epcot's lines aren't particularly short at the end of the night. We have had good luck with Space Mountain, Big Thunder, HM, and the Fantasyland rides at MK. At HS, we have done MMRR, ToT and RnRC at the end of the night. We don't stay late typically at AK, so I don't have advice there.

I did it with Remy once and the ride broke down after park closing while I was in line. It happened while I was still in the queue outside the building, but they gave us an LL that was good on any Genie+ attraction for the next day.

Tried at Remy at the end of a deluxe evening night… line was still surprisingly long. I think lots of people had the same idea.

I find the line for Guardians to be quite short (and they’ll let you ride later than your BG), so we usually hop in line for that at the end of the night. Most of the time it’s a straight walk on to the first room.

I also like to do Toy Story Mania at closing. And Expedition Everest. Flight of Passage is usually long (not as long as posted / usual) but I still jump in line, and expect the worst.

Remy for the win. We line up about 5 min before close/FW (ignore the sign that says 80 or 120 or 2000 minute wait!). They push the LL people through then it’s standby and nothing but. Also, the CM’s hold the standby line outside the attraction so it looks longer, so sneaky, but we are on to them!😉

I feel like Everest is the best. Even starting rather early. This past March during a busy spring break we rode it two times within a half hour starting about 1.5 hours before close. Then went over to FOP. While it didn’t take the 90 minutes posted it still took atleast 45 getting in line about a half hour before close.

We never have good luck with Test Track. Even the last half hour. It’s always the posted wait time if not more. Same for ToT and RnR. Now granted none of these three have we got in line in the last 10ish minutes though.

We did get in line at Rise less than 5 minute before close (we didn’t even think we were gonna make it). It was posted 40 I think and we waited 10. We were in the last group to get on for the night. Never been in line with no one behind us before. Was pretty cool to get off and have no one else get off behind you for some reason.

We do like getting to ride a headliner at the end of the night. It’s never as long as during the day, but unless you’re getting in line in the last 10 ish minutes we have never been lucky to do multiple walk ons like I’ve read about (minus Everest).

You're referring to "Line Stacking" which is a very effective technique that Disney uses to discourage late riders and funnel guests toward the gift shops and eventually the exits. We first learned about this process in the 1997 unofficial guide and have been using it to our advantage ever since. You can expect the posted wait to be up to 4x the actual wait in the evening.

I like to hop in the Slinky Dog line toward park closing at HS. First - that line during the day when it's sunny and hot is just brutal. So much nicer at night. Second - Slinky Dog is just better to ride at night in my opinion. All of Toy Story Land just looks amazing at night when it's lit up.

We rode it for the first time in the dark in March and loved it. It seemed so much better. We usually rope drop it. We had a late LL for it. I’m going to have to get on at closing at least once every trip now.
