Rides at MK for toddlers

Hello - Our DD loved Winnie the Pooh and the Teacups at that age. I still enjoy riding the teacups with her because she can't quite spin the wheel herself - no spin = no nausea. She also enjoyed Peter Pan, Small World and Carosel(?). Fantasyland worked really well for us at that age and we spent a lot of time at the Playground across from Pooh. Toontown has some attractions that are good for that age - I can't remember if we did Buzz when she was that little, but I would look into that as well. I think they are able to go on the Astro Orbiters, but frankly, that one scared me with her being so little. Of course, your first ride would have to be Dumbo.

Have fun!

Seriously....teacups?????? OMG, I can't even handle teacups!!!:rotfl:

Dumbo, the Carousel right next to Dumbo....Winnie the Poo, It's a Small World, ...Yes, the playground by Winnie too. Peter Pan is an easy one too!
How about Donalds boat area by Goofy's barnstorm rollercoaster (not the rollercoaster!). That was off when we were there, but perhaps that?
Exploring Minnie's House and Mickeys too.

my mind is numb ... I thought I had ideas, but when I type them, its not much!

my son was 22mths when we went last year - @ the MK - he liked that little playground in the toontown the best. He liked small world, indy speedway, and the and the Monsters Inc show allot. Also loved the Sonny Eclipse show @ Cosmic Rays. He hated Pirates...I forgot about the drop.

His favorite attraction was at the Disney Studios - He LOVED the Disney Playhouse Show.

Our 18 month old liked it all, except for teacups, but that was because my husband was spinning us as hard as he could. What we had trouble with was getting any place....if we let him walk, then he would stop at every little embedded thing in the pavement, and he liked to check all the trashcans and make the flap work. Also he liked to sit on all the park benches. So we pretty much either carried him or put him in his stroller.

As for shows....he did pretty well, but he had trouble sitting still for the Philharmagic and I seem to recall he broke his 3D glasses at one of the shows. He sat through all of Beauty and the Beast. He got nervous with the guns shooting at Indiana Jones.

Have fun on your trip!

p.s. There's a few pictures on page 1 & 2 of my trip report below if you're interested in seeing a trip report with an 18 month old. We even took him for his first hair cut at MK.

My son was almost 2 when we went las year.
Hands down his favoirtes were the toddler playground areas! In MK there's Pooh's Thoughful spot (by Pooh ride), Donalds Boat & Mickey's Playard (Toon Town) and even a small one by the ext if Splash Mountain. In AK he loved the play yard in Dinoland and there's Honey I Shrunk Kids play yard in DHS.

As far as rides attractions - he went on following:
MK: Peter Pan, It's A Small World, Pooh, Carousel, Tea Cups, Indy Race Car (Daddy drove and he got a Indy License from the CM when we got off!), Buzz Lightyear (He really didn't play the game but he liked looking at Buzz), Aladdin's Carpet, Jungle Cruise, Country Bear, Tiki Room

AK: Safari, Triceratop Spin (Dinoland - like Dumbo only you ride in a dinosaur), He didn't last long in the Flights of Wonder show - he spent alot fo time in the play yard here. I think Rafikis planet will also be good - it has a petting zoon and all - we didn't get to it, but plan to this year.

DHS: Playhouse Disney show was the big attraction here - he enjoyed the parade and we had some great charater meets here with Soccerer Mickey and Cars. We also did Toy Story Mania - again he didn't play but enjoyed watching everything that was going on.

EPCOT: Didn't spend much time here - we did Nemo and he saw Illuminations. We watend to do Journey to Imagination but it closes at 7pm and we were there after 7. This year I want to walk around the world showcase with him.

He enjoyed the parades in MK and DHS. He had fun at the character meals we went to as well as meeting characters.
He didn't have the patience to wait for and sit thru shows so we didn't do many of those. This year I think we'll be able to do some.

Obviously we spent the most time in MK, but there's plenty for them to enjoy throuhout all the parks.

Have Fun

When my dd was 2 she loved small world (sang the song ALL the time!) and the playground at Dinoland AK...she still loved the playground when she was 5!

Went last year when son was 27 months and went to DL when he was 16 months. TRAINS. He could sit on them or watch them for hours (thank you youtube). That and small world.

DS has been at 3, 12, 15, and 21 months. All these times he liked Pirates (although he mainly falls asleep in it- weird huh?- Just walking through the queue puts him straight to sleep!) HM, and LOVED LOVED LOVED Buzz.
