The rail road is running, just not the full round trip. Just shuttling between Mainstreet, and the Fantasyland station. Hall of Presidents (HoP) should also be open. Astro Orbiters should also be up and running after a major refurbishment that is almost done.
There will also be a new Night time parade that launches on July 20th.
We had planned on visiting WDW 5 days, now we are down to 3. We had planned on IOA and Epic, now we may add US. I had a spreadsheet for our 9 days in December, which took time because family is in different states and getting responses takes time. Newbies in the group are disappointed in closes. Hope thunder mountain opens early.
There will be many attractions open in the MK. At first glance, even without the attractions above reopening, there will be over 20 MK attractions to choose from! With that many it will be difficult to fit them in in one day and it’s not taking into consideration attractions that may re-open, parades, character greetings, shows, fireworks, etc.
Tiana's, Country Bear Jamboree, Haunted Mansion, PotC, Peter Pan, Small World, Mine Train, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Winnie the Pooh, Teacups, Dumbo, Barnstormer, Space Mountain, CoP, Tron

..and also Jungle Jingle Cruise, Aladdin's Carpet, Tiki, Speedway, People Mover, Mermaid, the Tree house, the double decker bus, horse carriage, parades, street performers, fireworks.
The entire park will be covered with holiday decorations.
Take a step back and look at what is open. Tons of stuff. The loss of those rides doesn’t even bring MK down from a full day park to a half day park. There are lots of bemoaning type headlines right now- and it will border on wailing for a bit after ROA closes- but ignore them. There is lots to do and see!
And while you may hold out hope… I wouldn’t tell anyone in your group there is a snowballs chance in FL BTMRR will open in Dec. Disney has been saying 2026 re-opening since before they closed it.
If you are hoping to go to Disney when nothing is closed - you will never go!
There is always something (ride, attraction, transport etc) that needs updating or fixing. And that's a good thing. Yeah sometimes the timing sucks but again, even if you delay your visit for a certain attraction, by then something else will probably be closed that you really wanted to see.
I'm just guessing but I would anticipate the Disney has a full team of people who work on ride refurbishments. That team likely moves from attraction to attraction completing restorations and refurbishments. Having all attractions open at the same time would mean these people would find work elsewhere and Disney would need to train new people.
Refurbishments and Disney go hand in hand and I for one am thankful they do! Keeps things running, safe, fresh and often new! I'm continually surprise at how short an amount of time after my trip, something new is offered that I will get to enjoy the following time we're at Disney!
