Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could offer me advice, I am quite large size 24 and quite large all round, I am worried about actually getting on the rides, was wondering if anyone has had a problem?

The entrance to Buzz is a bit tight on one of our trips a large lady infront of us got stuck in the turning thing she had to come back and go in sideways.

hi

I am aize 22/24 female with large ****s, i never tried r c racer last year as I heard that it is not a generous ride for larger sizes and cars was a bit of a tight fit for the seat but i did share it with my older son.

Other than that I managed to get on all the other rides in the two parks.

Hope that helps

I'm a size 14/16 and found the cars ride a bit tight!

Same! But I think it depends if you're in the front/back. My issue with it was more that I felt like the seat wasn't deep enough - like I couldn't sit far enough back on it. I was in the front, and the back seats seem to have a bit more depth - at the front you sort of have to perch a bit, which isn't that fun when you're spinning around!

Found this photo online that show it a bit.

Thank you that has been really helpful, I don't really want to miss out on rides but I also don't want to embarrass myself either!

Yes I see what you mean, don't think I will attempt that one as well as being a big one I'm also quite tall lol so I have to consider leg room too!,

Yeah we've only ridden it the once - you're not missing much - it's just standard spinning funfair ride.

I am 5'1" and size 22/24.
I find being short means my widest part is the narrowest part going through the turnstiles of all the rides. Go through sideways and don't have loads of things in your pockets.
Today (after much stressing) I attempted and managed Crush coaster. I was v concerned and spent the whole time in the queue sizing everyone else up. I even asked the CM at the entrance (he was very nice and said it would feel tight but it wouldn't be a problem- he was right). I fit fine - whether I am mad enough to ever try again is another thing (I don't really do scary).
Others I find tight (but still fit fine) are:
Orbitron, Cars (ok with a child but don't do it with 2 adults in same seat) - actually I think that's it.
If you think of any ride specifically that you are worried about (unless its a roller coaster) let me know and I will give you my opinion.
I think there is a picture of me in my last year trip report (link below) so you can see my wideness:rotfl:

Wow thank you, just had to read all your report it was Fab......I haven't really looked at the rides, only when people mention them, but I will have a good nose over the weekend and message you if I find any I'm concerned about. Again thank you

Thanks for this! I too have been worrying. Size 20-22 5'6" and have big errm breasts and a bit of a belly :( do you think I'll be ok? I want to go on crush but scared ill make a fool of myself. I managed to ride all the rides I wanted to at Alton towers last year. Although air needed a shove from ride attendants!

you'll be fine on Crush ;).

I think the turnstiles for Phantom Manor are really narrow. Don't get me wrong, you can get through them but I can't understand why they make them so narrow? When you have a child you have to guide them in and it can be really tricky when you're working in such a tight area!

Interesting to know, Im also a large round lady ( size 24-26) but lucky im scared of rides, but I think its more the fear of getting stuck and not beign safe on a ride, Id be so embarrased if I was asked to leave a ride if I couldnt fit,
