This is 100% the right answer albeit an annoying one as we know people like planning. Please ignore any future posts in this thread that start quoting what a CM told them or what the website says. This is how it actually works in practice which is what counts.
That being said if you're dealing with a young child just barely making the height, I would think that asking the CM at the line politely and explaining the situation would go a long way.
I agree with the PPs, it depends on the CM. If they say no you can just take her through the line with you and then she can take the "chicken exit" before you get on. Depending on your party size- you could send one person on the ride ahead and have them wait for her.
